Call Me Daddy (1967)

An episode of the long-running 'Armchair Theatre' series on the ITV channel in the UK. It features mainly just two actors, Donald Pleasence and Judy Cornwell, and may well be barely comprehensible to a modern audience, being filmed live (probably) in black and white, and it's also very 'talky'. Deals with some serious themes, while at the same time kind of undercutting itself with some oh-so-clever scripted humour, but still well worth watching.

I bought a bootleg dvd box set of these plays from the Camden Film Fair about fifteen years ago, before the copyright police moved in and effectively closed it down, and this is the first time I've actually watched any of the content.

A couple of episodes of Stargate SG-1

I'm still looking for a decent post-Star Trek space travel series. This one seems to be quite highly rated, probably because it ticks all the right 'progressive' boxes, and it was okay-ish to watch. Can't really compare it with Battlestar Galactica, as I can't remember a single thing about the episodes of that which I watched a few months ago, but Stargate appears to be regarded as its superior, probably for the reason just mentioned.

I'll probably end up returning to the Gerry Anderson shows UFO and Space 1999 , LOL.
