Death Race - It was an interesting watch, liked the tactics and development, and then they just burned it to the ground in the last few minutes, if you watch it you'll see what I mean.

I just saw "Over the Hedge" on TV. I think it was really cute and funny. I especially liked Hammy the hyperactive squirrel. :compress:

Tropic Thunder - mediocre, had a few good laughs but for the most part kinda limped along like Balls of Fury.

I am Legend. Disappointing, too much like I Robot, but the shots of the city overgrown were nice.

"200 Pounds Beauty" It is a Korean movie which very cleverly rips apart the music industry, cosmetic industry, and ideas of beauty.

Basically, it is about a very fat woman who sings behind the stage while a girl with more conventional beauty lipsyncs and becomes a star. Then, she disappears for a year, and gets a huge amount of plastic surgery before she reappears. I recommend it.

You can watch it here: http://www.mysoju.com/200-pounds-beauty/

Wages of Fear
Downfall
and at the theater we saw The Spirit (It was no where near as good as Sin City, but it was ok, I don't recommend seeing it in the theater if you're interested in seeing this at all though)

Hellboy II - 6/10; weak sequel.

Stepbrothers - 9/10 - I'm buying it. Funniest thing I've seen since Failure to Launch, think it even passes Sarah Marshall by a bit. Lots of memorable lines.

I didn't get Maggie Gylenhall though. She's supposed to be a hot chick, what happened? They couldn't afford Angelina Jolie? Charlize Theron?

Yeah, she went from looking like Katie Holmes to something more like Julia Louis-Dreyfus. Understandable, Holmes is probably off chasing UFOs or something now but they still need someone who at least minimally has her presence, her mannerisms, at least (and yeah they would have been closer with either of the above you mentioned, or Bridgett Moynahann, or even Kate Beckinsale).

Kate Beckinsale is in contention to play Catwoman for the next movie.
That's if Christopher Nolan and Co. will include Catwoman in the next movie.

Scrolling back through old posts I realize I completely missed that. Kate Beckinsale is playing Catwoman? That's **hot** - I'm sold on it already!

I'm trying to sit through one "Chick Flick" per week with my wife, and the most recent one was "The Devil Wears Prada" (2006).

Btw, I define a "Chick Flick" as any movie containing characters that I can not identify with as a man (or as a child-within-a-man), and that women seem to identify with one or more female characters.

On December 29th, I saw "Milk."

On New Year's Eve, I watched "Superman Returns" with family.

If interested, get your fingers off your keyboards
and go to your nearest theater that is playing "Milk."
Every aspect of the movie is brilliant!

I saw it at $8 matinee price, better than the $11 adult price.

towards the end when he got younger then
cursed (f&&K) which was weird coz older
people didn't use that as curse word etc? so
i sort of liked it but wouldn't watch it over
again
