Last night we watched Max Headroom [1987–1988] Season 1, Episode 2: "Rakers".

This episode's theme was:
- If sport becomes a business then profit might be valued more than player well-being.

I recommend Max Headroom to anyone who likes Science Fiction with substance.

The Car Lot Baggers, Series 4, Episode 5 of 'Minder' (1984)


Arthur hires out Terry to a fellow used car dealer called Wally to act as his 'minder', as Wally has been having trouble with vandalism and intimidation at his premises. It turns out that another local businessman in league with a corrupt council official is behind it all, and they try to pin the blame on local gypsies. Terry teams up with the gypsies' leader (played by Jimmy Nail), and the episode ends with a gigantic and spectacular punch up, as the baddies get their desserts.

If Money Be The Food Of Love, Play On, Series 4, Episode 6 of 'Minder' (1984)

Arthur and Terry help an Australian visitor to the UK to trace her ex-fiancé, but events take a dramatic turn when she kidnaps him at gunpoint to force him to return the £20,000 he swindled from her back in Australia. The dynamic duo manage to avoid being charged as accomplices, largely due to the ineptitude of the local police.

- If body parts can be sold, someone rich needs a specific part, and no one cares about the poor and homeless
<=+=+=+=+=+=>then bad things can happen!
