A punt gun firing 1lb balls is pretty much just light artillery. Around 9:42 you can see where the ball pretty much tried to pull the vest along with it as it blew through the ballistic gel dummy's torso.
Around 13:00 you can see the ball force a layer of the ceramic plate through the torso, coming to rest about 50 yards behind the table. The ball fails to penetrate the plate, but transfers so much kinetic energy that the plate and ball both go though the torso.
It's not often a bullet proof vest makes things worse.

I wonder what's left of their ducks when they use that thing as intended. Probably not a lot.

This was a crazy video. I didn't anticipate myself watching it, but it was entertaining enough to do so.

Normally you'd load it with bird shot, which would result in the energy dissipating a lot sooner so it shouldn't result in duck pulp.
