Lucy (2014)

I don't know if I was too dumb to understand the film, or if the film was too dumb to make sense of.

From Within.

Decent horror film about an epidemic of suicides in a small town full of religious fundamentalists. At the root of the deaths is a curse called upon to avenge a murder that the local minister and his followers are responsible for.

The Amazing Spiderman 2.

Rewatched the second Spiderman movie again, as it's my present to my wife on her birthday today.

Gamera vs. Guiron (1969)

Image

Gamera fights a giant gila monster or shark thing with a steak knife for a nose and does gymnastics on a pole and some weird alien women who look like they stepped out of a Flash Gordon serial kidnap some kids and shave their heads to eat their brains and oh my god my brain is turning into yogurt after five of these movies in a row and oh Jesus Christ there's three more.

The Night Porter. (Il portiere di notte)

"After a chance meeting at a hotel in 1957, a Holocaust survivor and the Nazi officer who tortured her resume their sadomasochistic relationship."

i watched it on youtube, eh i could have gotten it at my local library but i did not really feel like it. didn't even have my card. the youtube version seemed a bit zoomed in and the background would warp when it focused on the actors faces so that was a bit jarring. i liked it a lot but subtitles would be nice. next time.

Gamera vs. Jiger (1970)

Image

If I were still drinking, Gamera vs. Jiger would have resulted in Jory vs. Jaeger. But since a bleeding ulcer put an end to my boozing, I have to suffer through movies like this completely sober.

I'd rather watch Emmerich's Godzilla. Twice.

Assault On Arkham.

Agent Waller has assembled a supervillain "suicide squad" - including Harley Quin - in order to infiltrate Arkham Asylum to take out the Riddler who threatens to reveal all of Waller's secrets on the internet. Soon the suicide squad realizes there is more to the plot, involving the Joker's plot to explode a dirty bomb, and Batman's intention of stopping him. Great cartoon movie.

I saw "Horns" last night

IMDB link

Ok film, but it's the weakest of all Alexandre Aja's films, I preferred Piranha 3D, Hills have Eyes, Mirrors and Hight Tension. But seeing Daniel Radcliffe playing a character the opposite of Harry Potter and really being a douche was interesting.
