netflix streaming:
Alien Abduction -- another shaky cam movie, but this was interesting. the way they did the aliens was cool. the way they did the abductions was cool. i recommend it.
Heaven's Door -- just a feel good movie about a girl who get healing powers. it was ok.

netflix dvd:
BBT -- i'm on season 7... i love this show and sheldon is awesome. my fav scene in the whole series is from this season. where he's having dinner at amy's house...or apartment, or whatever...and he's been debating XBox One vs PS4. he gives the pros for each one and she just wants the damn butter... and it cracks me up everytime.

I saw Fury when it was in the theaters last month.

Sanatorium.

Found footage horror movie about the actors and crew working for one of those "reality" ghost shows, celebrating their one hundredth TV shows on New Years in a deserted insane asylum where several people had died terribly. At first, everything appears to be just another empty building for them to over act in for the television audience, when the frightening truth reveals itself.

It's mostly terrible, but worth watching if only for Tim Curry.

The writing is a mixed bag. For every good gag there's an incredibly lame one.

It's amazingly cheap, like a bad late-90s syndicated sitcom pilot.

It's on YouTube if you wanna check it out. It never even got a DVD release.

Kill Your Darlings.

I've already previewed this movie on this thread a while back, but as I just watched it after getting it from my wife for Christmas, I just wanted to say that Daniel Radcliffe as Allen Ginsberg was amazing, while, Ben Foster was virtually without peer as William Burroughs. Great movie about the murder at the heart of the early Beat literary movement.

The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies.

2D of course.
a bit shorter than expected. i was ready to be sitting there in that seat for three+ hours, like the last two. wasn't as dragging but thankfully the seat in front of me was vacant, good news for my feet and back.

definitely pretty dark, opened with a BANG with the arson of the village (don't remember now what it's called). biggest mistake on MY part would have to be taking a bathroom break in the middle of the final battle, came back and...dead. definitely loving the effects, except for some physics-defying part (was it?) in the battle.

jumping on bricks that were falling.

The Two Faces of Dr Jekyll, 1960 Hammer Horror with Christopher Lee, Paul Massie and Dawn Addams. Some lively 'Can Can' dancing numbers and an interesting take on the story.

Two Left Feet, 1963 black and white film with Nyree Dawn Porter and Michael Crawford.

^ Watched it last week, but thanks all the same! :D

Bit pedestrian I thought, could have done with the Terence Fisher touch...
