Dirty Dancing. Every danged teenager was into it when I was one myself. To me, Jennifer Gray was Ferris Bueller's snot-nosed sister and Patrick Swayze's hair was too big (it was) and he reminded me of my brother (eew) and honestly, I was getting sick to death of the fact that baby boomers made all the movies and acted like their music was the only good rock music ever made. A billion films and tv shows mooning over their lost youth, it was all bloody about them all the time. Spoiled brat generation. I don't feel much like reliving my teen years, maybe because the whole culture was still about them! Anyway, I saw no redeeming qualities in watching a couple of people dry-hump to 60s bubblegum music. It was along the same lines as Twilight, not in plot but in target audience (ooh, he's taking his shirt off!). There's one difference, though, I admit... Swayze was ripped.

I haven't seen many of these, but I had to agree about The Godfather... I haven't been able to figure out why people like movies like that. I don't enjoy wallowing in crime, degradation and corruption. No matter how skillfully the tale is told.

I certainly don't mind wallowing in all of that - I just thought the film was boring.

LOL! Well, that's valid, too. :D
