What do you mean by 'interstitial'? What does that even mean?
By the way, I have a really crazy theory about Missy and Clara. Shall I post it or just leave it so I can say 'I knew it!' if it ends up being true?

So.... Opinions on the Doctor abandoning his sonic screwdriver for sunglasses?

A necessary move with the times or a heinous heresy that must be cleansed with fire and never spoken of again (like Paul McGann)? :D

I think the sonic sunglasses are okay for 12. I was kind of hoping they'd just be around for a few episodes, but even if they stick around for the rest of his run, that'll be okay. I just hope it doesn't start a trend where all of the Doctors have different sonic devices from now on. I mean, having something different that you wouldn't expect works great in some situations, but in others it's just impractical or downright silly. So I'm pretty "meh" :| about the sunglasses and hope the screwdriver will come back at some point, even if it's not until we get a new Doctor.

What? You mean Sylvester McCoy and his sonic spoons wouldn't have worked? :D :D

Sonic spoons? Well, they're more practical than sunglasses, I suppose.

Are they? But with sonic sunglasses you can wear them all the time and look cool.

For my ultimate Doctor costume, I usually wear my own sunglasses for my item from Twelve.

Um...okay, then.
By the way, what do you guys think the big plot twist of Season 9 will be [Mr. Moffat has been teasing about it for quite awhile]?

I might not be using the right word. I mean the little interviews they do during the commercial segments. It's usually one of the actors or Steven Moffat talking. Here's the potential spoiler. There was one of Ingrid Oliver talking about how she likes how Osgood cosplays different doctors and hopes she gets to do them all. It took me a beat before I realized that we didn't actually know if she was alive or dead or if she'd survive the episode.

Of course, it's Dr. Who. If the actor's still alive, there's no such thing as irrevocably dead. There's always alternate universe versions, or Auton simulants, or maybe a Zygon personality-storage pod that lets you restore from backup.

Well, here's my crazy theory: is Clara actually Missy's daughter and somehow the Time Lord/Dalek hybrid in the prophecy? What do you guys think about the whole thing?

I had a similar thought. Somehow Clara keeps ending up inside a Dalek. Foreshadowing, or a red herring?

It's kind of hard to say. If there's one thing Sherlock and the River Song arc taught me, though: never overlook anything in a Steven Moffat episode, regardless of how insignificant it may seem.

Good old SM is a master of the farce. I think that trained him to think in terms of multiple intermingled storylines. I sometimes feel like his plot structure gets a bit too farcical to the point losing credibility. On the other hand, when he's on his game, I think he one of the best dialog writers out there today.

Here's a fun question: Favourite River Song episode. Mine would probably be Silence In The Library/Forest of The Dead. It's so, so sad, but I love it anyway.

My favorite is "Let's Kill Hitler". She has so many amazing lines in that one :D
Can we please talk about Captain Jack? :) I want him to return so badly!

Sure. What do you think would happen if Jack met Asildr/Lady Me?

You know you're obsessed with Dr Who when

You think bowties are cool.
You have been known to tell people you're 909 years old.
You keep a TARDIS in your bedroom--just in case you have to go somewhere on short notice.
