Stephen Spielberg's Duel (apparently he based a lot of Jaws on it)
Santa Claus Conquers the Martians.

Sometime soon I'll be watching Danny Elfman's "Forbidden Zone."

May was pretty good.
Alice, Sweet Alice was amazing.
Gummo was pretty obscure...

But honestly, most of the films here aren't that obscure.
I could say Cinema Paradiso, Holy Mountain, etc., and those would be somewhat obscure.
Fando Y Lis was great and Santa Sangre was orgasmic.
My favorite movie is American Beauty, but I can't really call that obscure.
However, the meaning I find in the film is certainly...rare.
My second favorite movie, however, does qualify for obscurity.
Heathers.
I show it to all my friends, and not one hasn't thoroughly enjoyed it.
It's so quotable too.
"F*** me gently with a chainsaw!"
"Whether or not to kill yourself is one of the most important decisions a teenager can make!"
"Teenage Suicide - Don't Do It!"

The best part about that movie is the original case.
The name is written in crayon for god's sake!
It just looks like an innocent 80's teen comedy.

I know it's not exactly obscure but it's still classic...

Kenny Everett's Bloodbath at the House of Death.

Oh ho ho!

The pig F***ing movie.
I win.

It's also known as Vase De Noces.
It's actually an interesting piece of surrealism, if you can handle the subject matter.

Obviously I don't get out enough. Wow.

Has anyone ever heard of Starman? It was a Japanese tv series, I think. I didn't watch all of it, but that is probably the most obscure thing I have ever watched, asides from movies made by my friends.

Speaking of which, I'm going to do a little plug for one here...

Umm... yeah. Made by one of my friends.

Do Mystery Train (Jim Jarmusch - featuring Joe Strummer, Screaming Jay Hawkins, Steve and the ghost of Elvis in nd arround a Memphis hotel) and Until The End Of The World (Wim Wenders - very haunting/thought provoking crime drama/road movie/sci-fi) count?
