Lisa Lampanelli. She does such a wonderful job of sounding like a racist, but also making fun of racism at the same time. That's a very tricky thing to do in comedy, and she's hilarious with it.

Jeff Dunham's a favorite of mine too. He helped bring ventriloquism into the 21st Century with his creativity and humor. :D

She's not exactly a stand-up comedian but right now I think Amy Sedaris is the funniest person alive.

Sarah Silverman
Lewis Black
Billy Connelly
Ellen Degeneres
Chris Rock

I'm sure I'll think of more throughout the day.

Patton Oswald
Sarah Silverman

(I don't get why anyone thinks Lewis Black is funny)

Steven Wright. Whatever happened to him? haven't seen him except in a cameo about 10 years ago.

There was a woman comedienne, I can't remember her name...(lot of that going on tonight...;)
It's not Judy Tenuta (originator of the 'stud muffin'...;) but a contemporary. She had a very dry sense of humor; had a bit about the pain of labor 'if I'm giving birth, he should at least be lying next to me getting his legs waxed', her car 'it has a special feature, a shifting gas tank. no matter what side I pull up on, the opening is on the other side. My last car had it too'.

She had an HBO special a few years back (but who didn't?) sigh...wish I could remember who it was...

Janeane Garafalo? She does have a good act. I like Margaret Cho, too.

Patton Oswalt
Sarah Silverman
Louis CK
Cat Williams

Sarah Palin got some good chuckles out of me during the campaign so that was alright, especially that interview in front of that turkey slaughter guy. She should consider taking that on the road.

But those are my top four at the moment.

She's cute! She does Vegas a lot now - living the good life. She kind of paved the way for comedians like Sarah Silverman. All sweet but totally twisted.

I also think Joan Rivers is absolutely hyterical. (Speaking of Vegas and twisted female comedians.)

Margaret Cho, Elvira Kurt, Shawn Majumder, The Arrogant Worms (not exactly stand up- they're a musical comedy group), Robin Williams.

Eddie Izzard.

Not really stand up, but I also like Tina Fey and also Jon Stewart and the Daily Show (and some of their correspondents do very funny skits). And also not really stand up, but more of a comedic acting talent, and that's Simon Pegg.

BILL HICKS!! !! !! !! !! !!

God I love that guy. I've been a faithful fan of his since I was 18.

"The world is like a ride in an amusement park, and when you choose to go on it you think it's real coz that's how powerful our minds are, and the ride goes up and down and round and round, and it's very brightly coloured and it's very loud. And it's fun, for awhile. Some people have been on the ride, for a long time and they begin to question "Is this real? Or is this just a ride?" And other people have remembered, and they come back to us and they say "Hey, don't worry, don't be afraid, ever, because, it's just a ride." And we.....Kill those people! "Shut him up! have a lot invested in this ride, shut him up! Look at my furrows of worry. Look at my big bank account. And my family. This HAS to be real." But it's just a ride. But we always kill those good guys who try and tell us that, you ever noticed that? And let the demons run amok? But it doesn't matter, because, it's just a ride. And we can change it anytime we want. It's only a choice. No effort, no work, no job, no savings of money. A choice right now. Between Fear and Love. The eyes of Fear that make you want to put bigger locks on your door, buy guns, close yourself off, the eyes of Love instead see all of us as one. Here's what we can do to change the world right now, to a better ride. Take all the money we spend on nuclear weapons and defense and instead spend it feeding and clothing the poor of the world and it would pay for it many times over not one human being excluded and we can then explore space. Both inner and outer. In peace forever."

Even my Signature is a Bill hicks quote. I love the guy that much.
