A Most Violent Year.

Oscar Issac plays a Latino immigrant who is becoming a success in the notoriously corrupt home fuel business in 1981, a year when violent crime spikes in his home city of New York. Hitting especially close to home is how his trucks are being hijacked, and he believes his competitors are responsible. Making matters worse, the DA's office is investigating him for fraud and corruption which he believes are trumped up charges - little does he know that the corruption in his business is real, and is much closer than he realizes.
A very good drama. While it does have it's moments of violence, the human drama is much more prevalent than the gun play.

Good. Not as good as The Shield (same source material) or L.A. Confidential (same writer), but good. Certainly worth the $4 the Blu-ray typically sells for.
