Coronation Street, episodes from April-May 1995.

Tracy Barlow, now an errant 18-year-old, takes an overdose of Ecstasy, ending up in a coma and needing a kidney transplant. This leads to all sorts of complications and tensions, with her mother Deirdre and new husband Samir Rachid, together with ex-husband Ken Barlow all trying to deal with the situation and struggling to get along. Ken is also at war with Denise Osborne, the mother of his newborn child.

The one where Miu gets asked to answer a math question only to draw a cartoon of her friend's dog and explain '...this is an American joke'.

Sweet Tooth (2024)

Season 3, episodes 7 and 8

I enjoyed the ending.

In season 3, Zhang is the bad guy, the evil guy, the guy I despise. After watching it, I looked up what else the actress has played in her career. She has been in a LOT shows I've seen. Monk, Bones, M*A*S*H (Klinger's wife in the last two episodes), Grey's Anatomy, Law and Order: Criminal Intent (she play a character named Mrs. Zhuang), Star Trek: Deep Space Nine (played Keiko O'Brien!), and many more. This is how I deal with an actor that plays a really despicable person, associate them with other roles, like Keiko O'Brien.

FYI - I did not see the season finally of M*A*S*H until years later. I am not part of that statistic.

Joe Pera Talks with You (2018-2021) on Max

Season 1, episodes 1 through 4, but I will watch all 9 episodes of season 1. The episodes are not very long, about 10 to 11 minutes. That means by the time I'm finished with this, I will have watched season 1.
Joe Pera is an observational comedian with an offbeat sense of humor that is quiet and relaxing.
I like Joe Pera's mind.
I oldest son, who is either the same age or year younger than Joe, introduced me to this show in early 2019 after a friend told him about it. Tonight, my son is going to see Joe Pera live. I'm pretty sure back in the COVID days, we watched in on Adult Swim.

I just started episode 8 (of 9). So I almost finish season 1.

Episode 1 - Joe Pera Show You Iron
Episode 2 - Joe Pera Takes You To Breakfast
Episode 3 - Joe Pera Takes You On A Fall Drive
Episode 4 - Joe Pera Shows You How To Dance
Episode 5 - Joe Pera Talks You Back To Sleep
Episode 6 - Joe Pera Reads You The Church Announcements
Episode 7 - Joe Pera Lights Up The Night With You
Episode 8 - Joe Pera Talks To You About The Rat Wars of Alberta, Canada (1950 - Present Day)
Episode 9 - Joe Pera Answers Your Questions about Cold Weather Sports

Clip from the second episode, Joe Pera Takes You To Breakfast

Just started episode 9.

Finished watching “The Fall of the House of Usher” on Netflix. Interesting, dark storyline, although some parts a bit gory for me.

Started watching “One Day” on Netflix, up to episode 3. Romantic drama about two people who meet up every year. I find the dialog a bit cheesy but it’s ok to have on in the background.

Last night we finished watching our way through The Expanse, Season 2.
Last night we finished watching our way through T"We've gone too far"

\o/\o/\o/\o/*REALLY O U T S T A N D I N G ! REALLY

Season 1 established several different interrelated story-lines, all excellent. Season 2 builds on that and is also excellent.

This show is wonderful hard science fiction. RECOMMENDED!

Also:

Last night we finished watching our way through Star Trek: Lower Decks, Season 1.
Last night we finished watching our way through S"Rarely going where no one has gone before."

\o/\o/\o/\o/*REALLY R E C O M M E N D E D REALLY

This series exists in the same universe as the various other Star Trek series and movies and frequently references them...but you do not have to have any knowledge about the Star Trek universe to enjoy this show, the cross-references are fun but not essential material.

This show is excellent science fiction comedy!

Yes, we spent a lot of time watching our television last night.

Last night I watched a reconstruction of the Doctor Who "The Celestial Toymaker" story, originally broadcast in April 1966.

This is a "reconstruction" because the BBC had not retained copies of these episodes. Apparently what they had to work with was:
- The BBC's production stills
- Off-air audio recordings made and retained by fans (from before VHS allowed video recordings)
- A film print of the fourth episode that the Australian Broadcasting Corp. had made and kept
They had animators make an animated reconstruction of the visuals.

My opinion:
- I thought the animation looked stupid
- Then I saw the originall fourth episode which...and it also looked stupid
- And the overall story was not very good.

But I was still glad to have seen and added to our collection proof that Doctor Who could conquer time. Stories that had not existed anywhere for decades were once again available.

P.S. The Celestial Toymaker, the villain, was played by Michael Gough. I would not've recognized him except for the episodes' credits.
