Doctor Who (June 14, 2024)

The Legend of Ruby Sunday

As anyone seen Doctor Who - Pyramids of Mars? Tom Baker episode. Nevermind.

Anyway, I still enjoy Ncui Ncuti Gatwa as the Doctor. I really hope that someday his name will roll off my fingers onto the keyboard as easily as Tom Baker. I have to look up the spelling of his name every time, but someday, I swear I will memorize it. I'm working it out in my head as I type all of this nonsense.

*** edit ***
I had to come back to CORRECT the spelling of the first name of the actor I'm trying to memorize.

Doctor Who (June 21, 2024) on Disney+

Season finale, episode 9 - Empire of Death

Overall I enjoyed it, but there were some leaps in the story I didn't quite get. Perhaps I missed something. I'll probably watch it again.

There was a clip of Tom Baker and Elisabeth Sladen from Pyramids of Mars. I just enjoyed that.

Curious. After watching, I went back to the list of episodes, and episode 9 is not list yet. It automatically played after watching episode 8 (The Legend of Ruby Sunday) again.

Of the 9 episodes, the one that stays with me is the 6 episode, Dot and Bubble. The Doctor and Ruby, and another character worked so hard to save the life of Lindy Pepper-Bean, and in the end, I'm left with the question did she deserve to survive... oh. Spoiler. She survives, but was it really worth it? I suppose. Sigh.

The one where Nobue teases Miu about being flat so Miu steals her swimsuit top in front of a bunch of people. Nobue gets her back by burying her in sand up to her neck and having blindfolded Ana swing a stick at her head like she's smashing a watermelon.

Columbo, french again, aah the vilain had the same voice as another

that bothered when the kids, used to, watch tv, the same voices over several series, and then in the ads again
how do you cope with that,
if you don"t watch the 'thing' but hear its probably worse

on columbo, halfwhat interesting, sublimal advertising and 'the american dream' prop

Last night we finished watching our way through The Expanse, Season 3.
Last night we finished watching our way through T"We've gone too far"

\o/\o/\o/\o/*REALLY O U T S T A N D I N G ! REALLY

Season 1 established several different interrelated story-lines, all excellent.
Season 2 built on that and made the story even more magnificent.

The stories in Seasons 1–3 were so huge they spanned the Solar System. Season 3 got us to a magnificent conclusion...that turns out not to be a conclusion. It leaves us on the threshold of stories larger than the Solar System!

This show is wonderful hard science fiction. RECOMMENDED!

And I'm not the only one that thinks so.

Doctor Who (1981) on Pluto TV, Classic Doctor Who

Season 18, episodes 27 and 28 - Logopolis
Season 19, episodes 1, 2, and 3 (currently watching) - Castrovalva

- Later -

I just finished the fourth part of Castrovalva, and instead of the next episode, Four to Doomsday: Part One, Black Orchid: Part One is playing. So three episodes, or episodes 5 through 16 of season 19 have been skipped. Pluto TV's Classic Doctor Who channel does not have all available episodes, and I suspect it does not have all seven Doctors.

Second series of The Responder.
It's so good I'm sorry I didn't watch the first series, but I can remedy that.
The characters are brilliant and you feel yourself hoping the no hopers catch a break, but they haven't so far.
The stressful situations are lightened by a fair amount of black comedy, so it's not oppressive at all.
Love it.
