Thank you! I could not find it on Disney+. No worries. I found it on Max. Again, thank you!

Missing: The Other Side (2020)

Finished season 1. I enjoyed it very much. Lots of plot interconnections with characters and plot lines, but for me it worked. I also felt it was well written. The ending was interesting.

Some people will like it. Some people not. After watching, I read a review where the person wrote -

IMDB: Snootz wrote:
That said the one issue I had with the show was the core premise: that the dead could not "move on" because their bodies had not been found. That's a little hard to swallow, even if one believes in an afterlife. That odd premise remained a sore-thumb that for me affected the entire series.

The premise that was a sore-thumb for the reviewer, did not bother me at all, but I can understand how that could be the case. I don't have to believe in wizards to enjoy Harry Potter, and I don't have to believe in a seven headed hydra to enjoy Ray Harryhausen's Jason and the Argonauts. I'm not criticizing the reviewer. That was one paragraph of five, and I thought was a decent review (because I agreed with it, of course  ).

Season 2. Bad news for me. Netflix does not have season two, so it is just the twelve episodes. It does not affect season 1. It was self contained.

Still watching our way through the twenty episodes of the first and only season of:

Kolchak: The Night Stalker [1974–1975]
<=>"One man's quest to uncover the truth,\o/"

Last night I finished watching the second five episodes:
11. "Horror in the Heights" [Dec 20, 1974]
12. "Mr. R.I.N.G." [Jan 10, 1975]
13. "Primal Scream" [Jan 17, 1975]
14. "The Trevi Collection" [Jan 24, 1975]
15. "Chopper" [Jan 31, 1975]

The IMDb description of "Mr. R.I.N.G." is: "Kolchak investigates a US military developed weapon called R.I.N.G; a robot which uses deadly force to defend itself against those who would harm it." and notes the following trivia about it:

○ RING was developed and built at The Tyrell Institute. Tyrell Corporation was the company which created the android replicants in Blade Runner [1982].

○ This episode first aired Jan 10, 1975. The January 1975 issue of Popular Electronics featured the first story on the Altair 8800 computer. That issue is also said to have inspired Bill Gates and Paul Allen to form Microsoft to write software for the new computer. So this episode is quite prescient in talking about microelectronics.

○ Mr. RING kills Dr Walker after discovering he was going to be deactivated. This is the same reason the HAL 9000 computer kills the astronauts in 2001: A Space Odyssey [1968].

It is a shame the series only had five more episodes to go. I enjoy it.

I first watched the series as a grade school kid, many years ago. It's always a treat to see it again.

Chopper has a special place in my memory because I use to scare my little sister telling her there was a headless motorcyclist with a sword, and his name was <in a whisper> Shattercane. Anyone familiar with that very dated commercial? I could not find a clip. Just whisper "s h a t t e r c a n e" and it would make my sister go nuts. She can laugh about it now. In hindsight, it was quite mean, but it was fun at the time. :D

The Great British Baking Show - 9/27/2024
Season 15 8, episode 1- Cake Week
New season on Netflix

I am going to gain weight just watching the show. The technical challenge was cake roll ups. Similar to Hostess Ho-Ho's or Little Debbie Swiss Rolls.

:x  I watched the wrong season.

Just finished episode 2 of season 8

Moving on to Season 15 (12 by Netflix standards)

Ghost Doctor (2022)
South Korean drama on Netflix

IMDB General Description wrote:
Cha Young Min is a genius doctor but arrogant and selfish. One day, he gets involved in an unexpected case; his spirit possesses another doctor's body. These two doctors are complete opposites, with personalities and medical abilities.

Wikipedia Synopsis wrote:
The series revolves around two doctors from extreme backgrounds, who have complete opposite personalities and medical skills: Cha Young-min (Rain) is a genius doctor and a high-skilled cardiothoracic surgeon, but is arrogant and selfish. Go Seung-tak (Kim-Bum), who possesses excellent medical knowledge, is hindered by his lack of surgical knowledge and fear of performing surgery. One day, Young Min gets involved in an unexpected case, and due to this, his spirit possesses Seung-tak's body.

I watched the first episode of The Penguin. It was really good. I'm usually not too bothered about DC/Marvel stuff but this was very enjoyable.

Ghost Doctor (2022) on Netflix

Finished the 16th and final episode.

I enjoyed it. Episode 16 tied everything up, and I did not feel it was rushed.
I could comment on a couple of the resolutions, but I won't . They were fine.
