Chappie.

From the makers of District 9, this film, too, is taking place in South Africa in the near future (2016, to be exact), when crime in that country gets so out of hand that a highly effective and lethal robot police force has been created to handle it. One of the roboticists, named Dione, who had built the robot police realizes that he is on the verge of creating artificial intelligence, and wants to give this to one of the police bots. When he is rebuffed, he steals a robot damaged while fighting criminals, and installs the new program. But the very criminal gang who had injured the robot kidnaps both Dione and the robot, with the intent of shutting down all police robots. Instead, they find themselves in a bizarre relationship with what is essentially a mechanical child, eager to learn and eager to please. The female member names him Chappie, from a slogan on her tee shirt, while the robot calls her mommy, and calls her much less appealing boyfriend daddy. Explored are notions of mortality, trust and the betrayal of trust, and just what does being human really constitute. Warning to the weepy: this movie can be a tear jerker.
Hugh Jackman makes a villain very easy to hate - - he's the jock/bully that we Aspies all had to put up with back in school.

The Madness of King George

At the title suggests, it is about King George III and his mental illness.
