That is, we watched the first episode of a new animated PBS children's show which IMDb describes as:
"An autistic collector raccoon goes on adventures with his friends."
An entertaining child's show. We enjoyed it; but I'm probably not going to watch it often. I'm about ten times the age of the target audience.
And they did not dwell on the character being Autistic. I don't know if this episode even mentions it. But I think the character was a plausibly presented Autistic child (except for that being-a-racoon thing).
I started a few collections myself, when I was young, so I empathized with the character. I just hope they don't have him starting two new collections in each weekly episode...that would be excessive, I think.

Dickens Of London (1976), saw episode 1 today. It's on DailyMotion. I saw it 8 years ago, and also on TV the first time round, but can't remember it very well so I thought I'd take another look. It all started this time when I found out on the Web that Dickens had never met Edgar Allen Poe. I remembered an episode of D.O.L. in which they meet and Dickens ends up having horrible nightmares. Turns out they made it all up. But I was curious to see it again, and it doesn't cost anything to do that, so I made a start. It's not bad.
