I have a love/hate relationship with that movie; I own it, but I'll have to watch it again to see which side I lie on this time.

The comics were brilliant, though.

The guy in the middle of the three faces at the poster's bottom looks like Lou Costello  . But who does George Zucco play? He was one of the horror movie stars whose reputation has not survived nearly as well as that of Korloff, Chaney Sr and Jr, and Lugosi.

That's Wallace Ford, one of the most insufferable comic relief actors from the era. Him getting killed in the next Mummy sequel is one of the film's most satisfying moments. I'm looking forward to seeing it again for that moment alone.

Zucco plays the evil priest who takes control of the mummy. He may not be as well-known among the general public as Lugosi, Karloff, and Chaney, but he's pretty legendary among the websites and books I read about these old genre b-movies.

Mirror, Mirror II: Raven Dance (1994) and Mirror, Mirror III: The Voyeur (1995).

The first one's pretty poor, the second one almost unbelievably awful. I feel annoyed that I've wasted yet another two or three hours of my life watching this rubbish, but I paid £15 for the 4-movie box set, so feel I have to get something back for the money. And there's still Mirror, Mirror IV to come....

I vividly remember the 'Mirror Mirror' VHS box art from my childhood/adolescent video store - it had a reflective hologram on the cover in place of where the mirror was - but I'm shocked that I never actually rented it. Not that it's held in any kind of esteem by horror hounds, but campy box art + campy C-list cast (Yvonne De Carlo, Karen Black, William Sanderson) is usually the kind of formula that guarantees a checking out.

I really like Oliver Stone's films, I think he's a very gifted filmmaker, but 'Savages' was by far his worst, and I'm including 'Alexander' as part of that. Hope I'm not offending you as you didn't state your opinion on it, but man, that was a tough sit for me. :?

Not offended. I was kind of 'Meh' over it.

The wonderfully absurd Rushmore, which I love to rewatch from time to time.
