The Leather Boys (1964).

Interesting, little-known film dealing with the biking culture in mid-1960s Britain, with a homosexuality-related subplot (inevitably regarded as a somewhat risqué element prior to the 1967 liberalization legislation).

Most of the cast I'd never heard of, apart from Rita Tushingham, Dandy Nicholls (Alf Garnett's wife from Till Death Us Do Part) and Johnny Briggs ('Mike Baldwin' from Coronation Street). I got the dvd for 20 pence - very few people want to watch black-and-white films these days, it seems. :|

netflix streaming: The Mirror

i say...skip it. it was WAY too slow...there wasn't any really haunting stuff. at least with the other hand held cam scary movies...there was visible paranormal activity, cliched, lame or awesome. this movie...nope, nada. all you will get is a young british man, who starts sleepwalking again cuz of a "haunted mirror" he bought off ebay. until at one point, he gouges his eyes out and then disappeared. i don't even feel bad that i gave a big spoiler either.

On the subject of mirrors....I've just watched (=endured) Mirror Mirror IV: Reflection.

Seriously terrible, though marginally better than Mirror, Mirror III. What else would you expect from a film 'starring' someone called Grady Beard? :D

The female lead, one Kim Mai Guest, reminded me of Judith Durham from the legendary Australian group The Seekers.

Child Of God.

A mentally ill man's farm is repossessed by the state, and so he goes to live in the woods - - and his metal illness only gets worse. He commits rape, then necrophilia, then murder before he's caught, losing his arm to a gun shot wound in the process. A vigilante gang breaks him out to hang him if he doesn't reveal where the bodies are - - except he's just crazy, not stupid. Very wonderfully disturbing movie.

And to think, the movie's co-star, Darryl Hannah, is an Aspie, too!
