The Man from U.N.C.L.E
I really liked it. I think I want to go watch Sherlock Holmes again.

"One of the lessons I learned early on: never say never. Never, never, never. Never say never. And secondly, never answer the question that is asked of you. Answer the question that you wish had been asked of you. And quite frankly, I follow that rule. It's a very good rule" - Robert McNamara

"ricky and the flash" was not up to what i expect from streep - just not that engaging.

I'm on my way to see Ricki & The Flash to see if you are right. I'm seeing it because not only Streep is in it but because I'm a fan of the director, Jonathan Demme.

The Unseen (1980).

Horror film starring Barbara Bach. First half is perfectly watchable, but it's let down by the last half hour, which is filmed in semi-darkness so that it's difficult to work out what's going on. What appears to be going on is that the weird brother and sister who inhabit a sinister old house have produced a genetic freak of a son, who is trying, not very competently, to kill Barbara. There's a bit of a 'twist' to the ending, but it's not the greatest surprise of all time....

Interesting to see Lelia Goldoni in this. I'd only previously seen her in the mid-1960s Hammer suspense thriller Hysteria, and she looks a lot older here.
