"Lost Horizon" (the musical - 1973). As good as the first time I watched it.

I watched Christiane F, Its about a bored, aimless 14-year-old girl falls into the drug scene in Berlin in the 1970s after attending 'The Sound', a modern new disco. In search of acceptance and freedom, she falls in with a teenage boy who is hooked on heroin and eventually develops an addiction of her own. It also has an appearance by David Bowie in it who i love, and the main reason i watched the film.
The last film i saw at the cinema was Mad Max, i enjoyed it, and it had really strong female characters who were pretty bad-ass.

on tv: 1408, the Conjuring
Netflix dvd: Nana, The Harvest

the tv movies were on SyFy over the weekend. I really like 1408. John Cusack is cool.
Nana is an anime series (also a live action version was made). The Harvest is the movie I recommend. It was REALLY well done!

Amnesiac.

First rate psychological drama. A man awakes in a bedroom, with his leg in a cast, and unable to recall anything about himself. A beautiful, but emotionally distant woman caring for him tells him she is his wife, and that he had been in a terrible car accident. He knows something isn't right, as he has memories of being in the car with a young girl, who screams, "Dad!" just before the crash. That, and the woman calling herself his wife has film strips and old photos filling up albums of what is supposed to be her in her childhood - but of which he has doubts. Then, he finds the corpse wrapped in plastic in the basement...
The twist at the end is outstanding.
