Given a choice, I prefer Japanese language WITHOUT subs. But I definitely prefer Japanese language even with subtitles -- because my experience is that English dubs are quite poorly acted.

I guess that on the whole -- historically -- a lot of anime has been quite underrated. Nothing specific springs to mind.

Favorites- The melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya, Yu Yu Hakusho, One Piece, Fairy Tail, Hunter x Hunter

I only watch subs. Just because most dubs of good animes are done by Viz and 4kids which are the WORST modern anime dubbers out. And funi dubs are really just meh...

Underated animes in the western world (like america) One Piece, Haruhi, Fairy Tail, Hunter x Hunter.

And some overrated piece of s**t animes are Naruto and Inyuyasha.

Since I havenot said it yet, I would also like to say a favourite of mine that I also think is underapreciated is the animeKure-nai, which I saw recently, barely hear anything about though was really good.

I wouldn't say that Viz Media is one of the worst modern dubbing companies out there. Personally, I thought the dubs of Monster and Death Note were pretty well done. They may have censored some parts of the animes they dubbed during the later Toonami years, but they don't do that anymore (with the exception of Naruto Shippuden on Disney XD) and the edits they made were no where near as severe as the 4kids dubs. Also, unlike 4kids, you can get Viz Media's dubs uncensored on DVD.

I also disagree about Funimation. I think that Funimation has some of the best dubs out there, such as Beck Mongolian Chop Squad, Kanon 2006, the Dragon Ball series (I hate hate hate hate hate hate hate hate HATE Goku's Japanese voice), Full Metal Alchemist, and many more.

Dragon Ball, Dragon Ball Z, Rozen Maiden, Shuffle!, Green Green, Hand Maid May...the rest are hentai's

2. Do you prefer subs or dubs?
dubs 100%

3. What anime series do you think are underrated?
Rozen Maiden!
