The Riddler's character in Arkham Asylum was spot on, even down to the challenges you have to find across the island. Wally Wingert's voice had the right blend of attention-seeking and obsessive complusiveness, something Jim Carrey lacked in spades.

Id rather listen to...

AA Riddler: "So you did it! Well done! I would of expected a child to work that one out, let alone the World's Greatest Detective!"

rather than...

Jim Carrey: "Riddle me this, riddle me that. Who's afraid of the big black bat?"

anyday.

Too many people just want to confuse Riddler's personality for Joker's but they're nowhere near the same. That's a big thing that Forever got wrong. Riddler is about showing off his intellectual superiority, not just manic puns.

Arkham Asylum (the game) got the Riddler right.

I would prefer John Simm to play the Riddler.

Watch John Simm as The Master in the Doctor Who episodes "Utopia", "Sound Of Drums", "Last Of The Time Lords" and "The End Of Time Parts 1 and 2" and you will see why he should play the Master. Any way who do you think should play the Joker?

Okay, now I along with every member of this forum and possibly real life agree that Jamesey is ret*d. But let's be tolerant with our insults and not display homophobia.

I Think Karen Gillan (Amy Pond in Doctor Who) would make a far better Poison Ivy than Uma Thurman.

my original hypothesis was correct. he saw batman forever at a young age and love it. since that was the only version of batman he knew, that was his definition of batman. he developed a biased towards it. when batman begins came out, it was nothing like batman forever (thank god), and he hated it. since he never read any comics, he never understood that batman is supposed to be dark and tragic.

I personally think that FOREVER would be a near-perfect mix of campy and tragic. In fact, it was originally meant to be more tragic.
