Midge,

I know that when the critics rave about a movie, I know I'm going to hate it.

cheetah girls and cheetah girls 2-my sister watches tv in the den, where the computer is located, so i get to see all of the disney channel movies...it's painful. i'm normally listening to my cd player but sometimes i lose my cd player.

night at the museum-make it stop! please!

happy gilmore-oh, my...just no, no, no. i don't even want to think of how bad that movie was.
billy madison-this made me suicidal.

troy-it was a good concept except for one thing...they rearranged the whole original story and changed some parts!

American Pie. Now there's two hours of my life I'm never going to get back, and I'll never understand why Roger Ebert gave it three stars. I have to admit, though, Eugene Levy was pretty funny in it, and he must have enjoyed it because he's been in every single sequel...so I guess that's a tiny glimmering light in an otherwise dark, bleak movie experience...

I also had the misfortune of seeing part of American Pie II, which was even worse. I'm not really too picky about movies, so other than that, I can't think of any really bad ones, except maybe for this made-for t.v movie on Lifetime where a woman gets out of the swimming pool and sees a spider in her towel and starts shrieking as her love interest valiantly slays it and the shaken woman asks him to hold her and they start making wild passionate romance...

how much more are they going to squeeze out of the 'american pie' franchise..whilst not my favorite comedy movie, i did somewhat enjoy the first three, but i can't force myself to rent these two straight-to-dvd sequels they put out recently...i think they need to close the book on these characters (especially the father!) altogether! what's next..'american pie: the return of stiffler"??

Why didn't you leave? I left after ten minutes. It was so boring. I don't understand why "everyone" thought it was so good. It was a terrible, boring movie.

Tough to narrow it down to just one, but here's a few off the top of my head:

- Silent Hill (apparently, the screenwriters decided it would be more important to stay true to the games' awful acting and terrible dialogue, as opposed to, you know, what made them good in the first place. I could go on a multiple paragraph rant about this movie, but I'll keep it short here. Basically, the cinematographer on this movie seemed to be the only one who gets it, since the cinematography is the only worthwhile part of it - everything else is a miserable failure)
- House of the Dead (it's basically this generation's Plan 9 From Outer Space - hilariously incompetent in just about every way possible)
- Van Helsing (dead boring - which is something that a movie featuring Hugh Jackman fighting vampires and werewolves should never be - awful dialogue, campy performances, and possibly the most unintentionally hilarious Dracula ever)
- Date Movie (there is no kind of movie worse than a failed comedy - when a movie tries to be serious and fails, it can be funny as hell, but when it tries to be funny and fails - like this movie - it's just painful)
- xXx (every bit of this movie seems as if it was written by someone desperately trying to prove how "hip" and "with it" he is, and failing miserably)
- Ultraviolet (some of the worst CGI I've ever seen, along with stiff acting, a laughable villain, and various nonsensical plot points)
- anything Rob Schneider has starred in (the guy is just not funny. At all.)

Here's a bad movie I saw recently on cable: Warriors of Virtue. Definitely one of the most incompetently-directed films ever made. And the kangaroo makeup makes the actors look like characters out of the Planet of the Apes remake.

I hate Vampire Princess Miyu. It's an anime OVA about a vampire demon hunter named Miyu. She's a sociopath who kills more humans then the demons!

A spiritualist named Himiko is brought in to investigate the disappearance of number of school children. Most of the children appear to have been killed by the "hero". Himiko is an idiot who actually helps the murderous Miyu at one point by releasing Miyu's servant named Larvae.

Eventully after two long hours, Miyu is still free to kill and Himiko is left angry and confused. I know the feeling.

Another anime called A Wind Named Amnesia was a big disappointment.
