Forrest Gump, oh no, wait. Hmph! It's a rumour though, but if that's confirmed, I may as well give up trying to be a Filmmaker.

George C Scott WAS General Patton ! !! It's sad that the movie contains so many mistakes as far as the equipment is concerned. (Wrong type of tanks, jeeps, and so on.) BUT the acting grabs you by the throat, and the incidents portrayed are all historically accurate (believe it or not.) The scene where he directs traffic was actually ad-libbed by Scott, the director simply told him the set-up and then rolled film.

Just like Al Bundy will always be Ed O'Neill and the Terminator will always be Arnold Schwarzenegger, Eric Draven will always be Brandon Lee.

Remember the Titans, all of Jurassic Park, Blood Diamond and Saving Private Ryan should be untouchable too.

Repo Man, both because it's too incomprehensible to rewrite and because it's so rooted in a particular era in punk music and LA history that it wouldn't work at any other time.

Gravity

I think another special effects exhibition about astronauts lost in space is inevitable, especially as technology improves. Gravity's story wasn't very strong, though, so I'd sooner expect another take in the same concept rather than a full remake of the film.
