What a heart-wrenching scene, last night, when Daryl walked out carrying Beth's lifeless body. It wasn't so much Maggie breaking that made that scene so overwhelming, but rather the pain on Daryl's face. It takes a lot to move him to such emotion. It guts you!

Very powerful scene. I really liked Beth and loved how she changed Daryl. The death was completely unexpected.

I'm so bummed. I wanted Carol bumped off so Daryl and Beth would be free to get together romantically.
Stupid Carol, go away. :x

When Noah was trapped, Daryl deliberately put Carol in a position where she would have to choose to save him. Daryl is probably the smartest guy on the show.

I caught up with season five today. The show's finally starting to get good! I only started watching it within the last year at the behest of some friends and fought hard to trudge through three largely uninteresting seasons (just my opinion, don't crucify me). Now that they're fleshing out the characters a bit more and changing up the locations with every episode, I'm getting a bit more involved than I was previously.

Having never read the comics, I have no real predictions at this point.

They should make Morley Cigarettes irl btw lol

I'm guessing you already know, but Morley is pretty much the go-to fictional brand of cigarettes for film and television. I don't smoke, but I'd buy them solely because they were the Cigarette Smoking Man's brand of choice on 'The X-Files':

I heard there's a petition to bring Beth back.
Not sure how that could happen, unless maybe the bullet only grazed her head and she's unconscious.
That's sure not what it looked like, though.

^^^ Hmm... That's interesting. I listen to some of TWD podcasts, and there most fans seem to find Beth annoying and they're glad she's the one who bought it.

Personally, I thought she was pretty cute...

She and her big sis woulda made nice bread for a GoonSquad sandwich. [/sleaziness]

Naw, she's dead. Perhaps they'll bring her back in flashbacks or dreams or something like that like they have with other characters. It still bugs me that Shane died in season 2!

I think Beth's death will play a big role in the development of Daryl's character going forward

"I just wanted to make it clear that I was saying that the possibility is there and I would've been fine with it, the network would have been fine with it, but we ultimately didn't do that. I can make it official – Daryl Dixon is actually straight."

- Robert Kirkman

So we can all stop wondering about that.

I think we'll see Jesus by the end of this season or the beginning of season 6 for sure...

And everyone knows, Jesus IS gay.

One of the reasons I actually stopped watching Walking Dead is that I didn't want to see anything bad happen to Beth, she looked too cute and innocent for the crap that went on in the show... There are few things more majestic than an innocent-looking blonde, do not want them in the zombie apocalypse, not ever.

Everyone else can die, just not the innocent big eyed blonde, even Carl. Go to hell, Carl!

So glad my foresight payed off, but then again it's pretty much everyone's duty to die a horrible death in a zombie show. :P

^^^ Yeah, Beth stabbed her in a very non-life threatening area. I understand the whole concept of that scene, but the execution was a bit strange.

I thought Beth stabbed Dawn (I agree not a life-threatening injury) and then Dawn shot Beth and then someone else (Rick?) shot Dawn. That's how I saw that scene.

I haven't seen it, but I have Dawn listed as dead in The Walking Dead Wiki.

Next episode February 8th.
