Howl (which has been called werewolves on a train by reviewers)
Nice werewolf movie with very poor sound, often missed out on what they said

Silent Hill

I didn't know much about the movie (except for Pyramid Head and the sirens which I've seen in a let's play).
It was quite good though.

The Gangs of New York

About 2/3's of a good film, Cameron Diaz's character just felt way out of place in it though, like she was just stapled on to be a stereotypical love interest to make the film appeal to a larger base of people.

I agree. The parts that are good are amazing. Daniel Day Lewis deserved the Oscar for this.

Spotlight

Brilliant movie centered around a team of investigative reporters who broke the sex abuse scandal involving the Catholic Church in 2003. The cast could easily earn Oscar nominations, despite the movie being snubbed in the acting categories for the Golden Globes.

Yeah his character was brilliant. The "main theme" for the film was excellent as well.

I'm stunned there hasn't been more of it, since it worked out so well. There's a great Star Trek film based on Romeo & Juliet just waiting to be made. Two Federation empires, both alike in dignity, In fair Beta Quadrant, where we lay our scene...

Also nice seeing Leslie Nielsen, 25 years before Airplane, playing the serious hero and looking almost exactly like Daniel Craig:
