Star Wars: Force Awakens.

Better than the prequels, but slightly a retread of classic Star Wars. The superweapon is a pimped up Deathstar.
John Boyega was great in it, though. Daisy Ridley was good too

Liked it, but I hope we don't get another tribute act for the sequel.

As of right now it has my vote for best picture of the year.

I watched Star Wars The Lens Flare Awakens last,

I think JJ Abrams needs to get his lens flares looked at from a medical professional 8)

Topkapi (1964)

A small-time crook encounters some not-so-small-time crooks planning a jewel heist in Istanbul.

This was the film that inspired Bruce Geller to create Mission: Impossible two years later, and the first Mission film ripped off the brilliant climactic heist scene pretty blatantly.

The Masque of the Red Death (1964)

An evil prince (Vincent Price) invites his fellow noblemen to a ball at his castle while a plague rages outside its walls, but their revelry is cut short when the personification of the plague pays a visit. Based on the story by Edgar Allan Poe. Directed by Roger Corman (The Fall of the House of Usher, The Little Shop of Horrors).

star wars. wasn't expecting to go and i was taken there in the back of a pickup truck.

i did not recognize half of what was going on but i was seeing it with my firlgriend (plus her friends) and she explained to me in a whisper.

my favorite part of the experience was the cuddles and the gorgeous theater itself.

Star Wars: A New Hope
Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back
Star Wars: Return Of The Jedi

After seeing the new Star Wars movie in the theater, our daughter announced she was now obsessed with the movie franchise, so my wife and I sat down with her to watch the original trilogy. It's really amazing to experience something like that grand movie series through my little girl's eyes. 8)

Man on a Ledge (2012)

A disgraced ex-cop threatens to jump from a Manhattan skyscraper, but police gradually realize he has no intention of killing himself. It's just the first step in his plan to take down the man who framed him for a diamond theft.

Picked up the Blu-ray, which is selling for $5 these days, and wasn't disappointed. The plot kept me guessing like the best heist movies do (being less about what they're going to do and more about how they're going to do it) and the cast (Sam Worthington, Elizabeth Banks, William Sadler, Anthony Mackie, Jamie Bell, Edward Burns, Kyra Sedgwick, Ed Harris, Genesis Rodriguez) is great.

And I would like to once more extend my middle finger to film critics, who apparently never know a good movie when they see one. This one has a 31% on Rotten Tomatoes. Less than Transformers 3. Disgusting.
