Star Wars TFA, now I am no fan of JJ Abrams, but this film was surprisingly good, I even cried at a couple of bits.

I saw The Big Short yesterday it was a damn good movie! Michael Burry {played by Christian Bale} gave me the impression that he was Aspie-ish. In fact, Burry says in a voice over that he admits to being socially awkward, even around people he works with. He plays loud music in his office. The real Michael Burry stated in an interview that he himself has AS after his son was diagnosed with AS. It makes me wonder if Christian Bale is an Aspie, but who knows.

As for the movie, I thought Ryan Gosling talking directly to the camera was OK, but the cameos were so annoying that I wanted to throw my popcorn at the screen.

X+Y it's a film on UK Netflix at the moment, about a kid with ASD who is good at maths. I found it quite moving.

The Visit.

A teenage girl, named Becca, plans on making a documentary upon being invited along with her younger brother to visit their mother's estranged parents for a week. Soon, the two discover the bizarre behavior exhibited by their grandparents. When they express their concern to their mother, via Skype, she tells them her parents are just strange because they're old. Fearing that her grandparents are going to be lost to mental illness, Becca tries to work a reconciliation out between them and her mother. That's when the M. Night Shamylan twist comes around. I seriously wasn't expecting it. It wasn't the best of Shamylan's films, but the twist is something else.
