Sinister II.

Surprisingly good sequel to the original horror film, Sinister. The police officer, now private detective, who had helped the crime writer in the original movie is now burning down the last houses where the chosen children had killed their families, in order to stop Baghul, or Mr. Boogie, from repeating the cycle of murder again. And then, he finds a farm house where such a horrific mass murder had taken place is now lived in by a mother and her two sons hiding from her abusive husband. Against his better judgement, he finds himself falling for her. Unknown to him and the mother is that the children who had killed for Mr. boogie are now enticing both of her boys out at night to expose them to film strip after film strip of how they had murdered their families, in order to prepare them to do the same. At the same time, the a$$hole estranged father uses his local political and economic power to get the boys back - - despite the fact that he'd be unintentionally welcoming the bogeyman into his own house.

netflix DVD: The Cure. (nice innocent family movie about a kid with Aids. the kid is played by the same kid from Jurassic Park) i've seen this a bunch of times already...and it's one of those films that you just come back and watch again.

Conspiracy Theory (1997), with Mel Gibson, Julia Roberts and Patrick Stewart. More watchable than expected, but didn't justify its pretentious length (2 hours 10 mins). Begins as some sort of cheesy comedy and attempts to metamorphose into a bona fide political thriller. Oh well....

Deadool. I don't want to talk it up too much, but I found it quite funny, it pretty much delivered what it promised. A number of laughs in the theatre, and a lot of references.

Mission Impossible: Rogue Nation
IMO, it wasn't as good as Ghost Protocol, but still entertaining nonetheless.

Source Code
I like this movie a lot and it has been rumored that Lions Gate has plans for a Source Code 2.

Interstellar
This was nothing more than Christopher Nolan's rip-off of 2001: A Space Odyssey and my ass got sore for
watching a 2 1/2 hour movie.

Got back an hour and a half ago from seeing Deadpool. I don't think I've laughed soo hard at a movie since Hotel Transylvania 2 with my old college buddy last year. Definitely well worth a watch. Both of them, although you might not want to bring the kids to the former.
