I watched Memoirs of a Geisha for the first time early this morning. I really enjoyed the Japanese-style costume and scenery. It made me really want to visit Japan.

I just got back from The Wolfman.

A lot better than I thought it would be, but it pales in comparison to the original 1941 film.

Winged Creatures, The Boy in Striped Pajamas, and My Sisters Keeper. Three sad movies in less than three days.

Saw Percy Jackson and the Lightening Thief. Was a good film, weird though! Only bad thing is it's a bit cheesy in places really.

I bought Moon on Blu-Ray yesterday. It was a small, yet amazing science fiction film. I highly recommend it.

StarStruck- It was a movie on the Disney Channel. My god what a piece of crap. I only watched it because to see the stuff for Toy Story 3 and Alice in Wonderland. Reminds me of the time when I sat through Herbie Fully Loaded in order to see Charlie and the Chocolate Factory again (It was a drive-thru theater).

Valentine's Day

Better than expected, 2/3 house, and
Ashton Kutcher was unusually funny as a florist.

The Seven Samurai- and mostly by coincidence, it is my 70th movie on the IMDb top 250. Just 180 to go...

So it was a good movie even though it was one of the longest I've ever seen, at just under 3 and a half hours. (But I can't complain, my favorite movie is Return of the King Extended Edition- 4 hours, 10 minutes!) It has a very interesting plot and even though the battle scenes aren't as intense as more modern movies, they were still exciting. If you can tolerate a black and white film in a foreign language that's so long it has an intermission, I'd recommend it.

i saw it yesterday. didn't really enjoy it. Alba got shafted again with a bit part...

But I did like the homage Julia Roberts did. (won't say anymore unless i get yelled at for spoiling it for someone)

A Perfect Getaway - I was really looking forward to this one, sadly the end fell flat - in ways that I think they could have easily avoided.

Today I watched "Don't Go in the Basement", an early-70s low-budget horror masterpiece.
