Rewatched "Desperately Seaking Susan" for the first time in a long time last night. Brought back memories of New Wave era downtown Manhattan . "After Hours" and especially "Liquid Sky" are better movies made about that time and place during that era.

You do realize that the book it was based off of came out in the 80s right? Long before The Hunger Games was even published.

I think they're more angry with the execution of the film actually. I went with a friend who read all the books and he was very disappointed with the film.
