I've just seen a little known version of Dracula. Technically, it's a 'feature-length teleplay', which was made for the UK Thames Television Mystery And Imagination series in 1968, but to all intents and purposes it's a film.

Wouldn't be to everyone's taste - it's rather 'stagey', is filmed in black and white, and is watchable rather than captivating. Denholm Elliott is the Count, and he makes his entrance sporting a beard and a pair of dark glasses. A very young Susan George turns in a striking performance as the vampirized Lucy. Sticks reasonably close to the original story, but the slightly obscure and confusing ending provides an interesting twist.

The good dinosaur.

It was different, to say the least. T. rex Cowboys were the best part.

I remember I kind of liked Van Helsing when I saw it.

2012 is on telly.

A film about the end of the world starring John Cusack, Amanda Peet, Chiwetel Eijofor, Danny Glover, Woody Harrelson and Thandie Newton really should be a lot, lot better than this.

2012: One of the greatest comedies of the past several years. All the snark.

Ha! God, it was bad. Just a load of iffy cgi of stuff being blown up or drowned so Cusack can get back with Peet.

My 11 year old watched the first hour with me before going to bed.

"What's it about?"
"The end of the world."
"That sounds cool."
"It does, but it's not."

She was soon questioning just how well a limousine could manouvre through collapsing streets of chaos.
