Has anyone seen K? I'm kind of in the process of watching it.
Also, I started watching an anime long ago when it first came out called Shiki but I never finished it. I was wondering if it's worth watching all the way through.
I was not much of a fan of K. The
music could be good, and there was some nice style, but it just felt like it was not my thing, that it felt more style over substance, and at least as a male the characters felt so ridiculous that they were not really enjoyable, or was glorifying things it really should not. I quit after the first season, because I felt frustrated.
The studio fairly recently did a project called Hand Shakers, which seemed a little more targeted at males with a similar style K, and turned out to be one of the worst recent anime, at least early on.
As for Shiki, it was actually a rare show that I started and then stopped watching. It could turn out to be good, but I also think that for me personally to stop watching, it might be something I did not find to my tastes, which could have been with how it handled death with a fairly young cast. I don’t tend to be much of a fan of death games, especially with young characters (the concept of Hunger Games sickens me), and although it might not have had that exactly, there might have been an aspect that felt like it.
