Before seeing the film, I'd heard it called a "spiritual sequel" to Cloverfield. That took a fair amount of tension out of the experience. A majority of the suspense derives from uncertainty about what's going on. That said, despite knowing what was coming, there was still a good deal of mystery, enough to make for a decent psychological thriller. Overall, I'd recommend it, and am looking forward to more sequels.

Not hardy. I couldn't exactly understand what was going on, and I found none of the characters were partially likable.

Batman Vs Superman - Not terrible, but Bruce Wayne needs to get a life in this movie. More "my poor parents" issue stuff; I felt like saying "Wayne, get over it, you're, like ,50 now..." He has given up on not killing as well. But that's actually kind of cool in the context.

The lead up took too long, and the pay offs at the end are muddled. Flagging up future movies was SOOO forced.

Lex Luthor has had a brain transplant from the Joker in this movie.

Zack Snyder, please listen: Man Of Steel, was reasonably good, if grim. Your editing is all over the place on this movie. You should have cut the parents stuff from the beginning. The Metropolis incident would have been a great intro, on it's own.
And the middle to last parts of the movie were really sloppily edited. I mean; an advanced Kryptonian AI just gives Luthor authority? Surely it has eyes? WE have computerised biometrics, but not advanced aliens? Come on....

Also, Lex Luthor is a Machiavellian psychopath, not a full tilt psychotic.
Jesse Eisenbergs performance belonged in a Joel Schumacher Batman Movie.

And we needed more Superman. like 50%.

I recently watched Ghost In The Shell on Hulu. I really liked the protagonist, and the ending was very thought provoking, overall a good movie. The protagonist, she has some aspergers traits, in my opinion.

Maybe the best DC movie I've seen yet. Aflack more than fills Batman's boots, Eisenberg is great with his suppressed manic rage as the meglomaniacal Lex Luthor, and Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman is a damn hottie! The movie pretty much is based on The Dark Knight Returns, and The Death Of Superman, and doesn't disappoint.

How was the battle against Doomsday?

Daisy Damergue's gang, posing as stage coach travelers, planned to free her from bounty hunter Kurt Russel when he made a stop at an inn on the way to Red Rock, Wyoming, after being trapped by a winter storm. What they hadn't counted on was how Russel had picked up fellow stranded bounty hunter and Union army vet Samuel L. Jackson, and a racist redneck Civil War Veteran claiming to be the new sheriff at Red Rock. So said gang sets out to murder Russel and company with poison and bullets, but they hadn't taken into account what a bad ass Jackson is. That make any better sense?

It's been awhile since I've been here.. I won't post all of movies I've watched. I'll break it down into two recent areas.

First, Batman V Superman. I really enjoyed it. First time I've seen Wonder Woman and thought WOW. She really holds her own next to Batman and Superman.

Second, has been more of a Star Wars marathon for that few weeks.
Star Wars Episode I
Star Wars Episode II
Star Wars The Clone Wars, seasons 1 through 5, and Lost Missions
Star Wars Episode III
Star Wars Episode IV
and at the moment Episode V

I'm expecting Star Wars Episode VII next week, so I'll watch Episode VI between now and then.

If you love the Star Wars movies, but have not seen The Clone Wars, I encourage you to check them out. Story wise they fit between II and III, and they really further the story.
