I just saw Splice. Jesus, this movie is messed up in certain parts, especially at the end. Other parts it's kind of cute and endearing.

The Witch

Scary-as-hell horror flick centered around a dysfunctional Puritan family living in solitude in New England in the 17th century. The dysfunctions in the family become worse when the lead character is accused of being a witch by her siblings and has to prove to everyone in her family that she isn't. The tension builds at a slow pace leading to the scares halfway through the movie. A hybrid of Carrie and The Exorcist, this movie, even if you're not a fan of horror movies like me, is worth the ticket.

I have not finished it, about an hour into it, but I'm watching My Beautiful Broken Brain. It is streaming on Netflix, and is about a 34 year old woman who has a stroke. She and a friend made this documentary about her life after. I find it very interesting, her self-awareness of what is happening to her. Because she has problems writing, some of what she films is a filmed message to David Lynch. Early on, she comments how she feels like she is in the red room from Twin Peaks. I find this to be very compelling movie.

Yeah, I've seen all three of them and no matter how many times I've watched them there is always something new to be learned or at least, in my perspective. Actually, I've read that there will be a remake of Cube, in that it's currently in development stage so, that means it's hard to say if someone will write a script and gather all the necessary resources to put it into production. However, I'd like to see such a remake.
In fact, Cube is where I acquired inspiration for my username.
