Studio plot summary: A young woman unwittingly becomes part of a kidnapping plot involving the son of a movie producer she is babysitting. The kidnappers happen to be former business partners of the son’s father and are looking to exact some revenge on him. Our babysitter must bide her time and wait to see what will become of the son and herself, while the kidnappers begin to argue amongst themselves, placing the kidnap victims in great peril.

IMDb: A dramatization of the Oct. 30, 1938 mass panic that Orson Welles' radio play, "The War of the Worlds" accidentally provoked.

Oooo!! ! I'd be interested in seeing that. I've only ever heard about the event.

The movie's decent and you can watch it on YouTube if you'd like, but I'd recommend listening to the original broadcast first. It's also available on YouTube or just about anywhere else. Most of the old radio shows I've heard haven't been very good, but it's stunning how good The War of the Worlds was. Great way to kill an hour.

I've heard of the guy who the movie is based on. He wrote a book about his communications and encounter with John Wayne Gacy. Poor guy ended up killing himself, if I recall correctly.

Watership Down

I love the animations and the story was very interesting though I don't think it's a very good movie for young children (especially sensitive ones).
