A few days ago I watched a copy of the 1977 Hobbit cartoon, now all I need to do is watch 1978 lord of the rings and 1980 return of the king and I will have watched all English language Middle Earth films.

Be prepared to be disappointed by the 1978 Lord Of The Rings.

The Girl In The Photographs.

A young woman is being stalked by a secret admirer/serial killer, who sends her photos of dead, mutilated women. But she also becomes the obsession of a famous douchebag hipster photographer, who is fascinated by her precisely because a psychopath is enamored with her. Could have been a great psychological horror flick, but ends up being a cheap slasher.

I liked that movie as it had been promoted as based on actual events, till I found out that it was a total fabrication. Feines' character had actually been a Nazi sympathizer and agent, the love of his life in fact had been an SS officer and not that married lady, and he had never been in a plain crash or burned (not even slightly). If they had wanted to make a fictional movie, they should have done just that.

A sequel has been greenlit with Peter Jackson directing, taking over for Steven Spielberg who will remain as producer.

Tomorrowland and Batman: Under The Red Hood. Both I found very enjoyable especially the former. Don't think it was all that bad and felt like it should have gotten more money in its theatrical release.
