I geeked out in the first minutes of Fantastic 4 with its Sliders-esque wormhole and Biff's garage from Back to the Future II, but it quckly went downhill from there.

Dracula Untold.

In order to save his country from the Turkish onslaught, Romanian Prince Vlad Dracul (the impaler) makes an unholy, Faustian pact with a vampire. While not a super great movie, it deserved better reviews than the critics gave it.

Here Comes the Boom

Perhaps the best film Kevin James will ever star in.

I saw Dukhtar ('daughter'), a 2014 Pakistan film, directed by Afia Nathaniel. It tells the story of Zainab, teenage daughter of village elder Daulat Khan and his wife Allah Rakhi. Daulat Khan has a feud with the warlord Tor Gul; as a way of recompense for recent deaths of soldiers in the conflict, Tor Gul proposes that Daulat Khan gives him Zainab as his wife. With some reservations, Khan agrees. But Allah Rakhi thinks otherwise, and escapes with Zainab. Tor Gul quickly sends his men in pursuit of the two, who eventually join up with a truck driver named Sohail. While at first reluctant to take Allah Rakhi and Zainab with him, Sohail warms up to them and a bond begins to form between the three.

This was a very nice movie; especially young Saleha Aref ('Zainab') stole every scene she was in. The message is very positive, and boils down to 'love [motherly or otherwise] conquers war'. It underlines the pointlessness of the ongoing conflicts in the Middle East. It's fairly straightforward in its storytelling, and the ending is somewhat abrupt, leaving it open to the audience to interpret what will happen next to the main characters. I am unfamiliar with Samiya Mumtaz ('Allah Rakhi') further work as an actress, but at times I was not entirely convinced with her getting the emotions across on the screen. The shots of the Pakistan landscapes, from mountain ranges to vast desert plains, added much to the film's atmosphere.
