If you want a dark film that came before the Dark Knight series, here.

my original hypothesis was correct. he saw batman forever at a young age and love it. since that was the only version of batman he knew, that was his definition of batman. he developed a biased towards it. when batman begins came out, it was nothing like batman forever (thank god), and he hated it. since he never read any comics, he never understood that batman is supposed to be dark and tragic.

I wonder what will Jamesy's take of Black Mask would be like?

knowing him, he probably doesn't even know who black mask is. hell, i don't think he even knows who the joker is

If he knows a little about Black Mask, what would his take of Black Mask be like? Plus what would Jamesys take of the Joker would be like?

This is what happened to poor old Kryten from Red Dwarf after he watched Batman and Robin.

It just goes to show how biased Jamesy is towards Batman Begins since it contains no family-friendly scenes, comics are not for kiddies anymore, y'know. Batman has always been a conflicted, dark and brooding vigilante, not a camper-than a pink row of tents and cheesy one-liner spouting clown.

Last night i played Batman: Arkham Asylum (for the 100th time), Jamesy wouldn't like it because there's no Joel Schumacher to spoil things and the Scarecrow's new look would give him nightmares (I wish).

yeah, the funny thing is he said he was 21 years old. meanwhile he likes a film that's geared towards 5 year olds, and he hates the adult movie

LexingtonDeville, what do you think Jamesy's take on Black Mask or The Joker would be like?

Maybe in a Batman spoof, but not in a proper Batman film.

Breaking news: Christopher Nolan has confirmed some casting news for Dark Knight Rises. They are...

Anne Hathaway as Selina Kyle.
Tom Hardy as Bane.

Ive always thought of Hathaway as to doe-eyed and innocent to play Selina Kyle, the only Catwoman is Michelle Pfeiffer. Still, im willing to give her a chance.

As for Tom Hardy, he's perfect to play Bane. If he replicates his Bronson role, then maybe we'll be seeing the film version of Knightfall. Shame he won't be Hugo Strange, but im confident Hardy will erase the awful memories of the Bane from Batman and Robin. which was effectively reduced to a side-kick that grunted and looked like a walking boogie.

Shame I would have preferred Freema Agyeman (Martha Jones from Doctor Who) to play Catwoman, anyway I do not think Selina Kyle will be Catwoman in The Dark Knight Rises, I would like to see Kara Tointon (Dawn Swann from EastEnders) as Talia Al Ghul, Roger Lloyd Pack (Trigger from Only Fools And Horses) as Hugo Strange, Eric Robert's Sal Maroni to return as Black Mask and the return of Liam Neeson's Ra's Al Ghul, Cillian Murphy's Scarecrow and Victor Zsasz. Anyway LexingtonDeville why didn't you send this message to my thread about the Joker?
