I love you
You love me
We're all one happy federal agency!

In the preview of next week's episode, there was a scene of Tom Lennox saying to someone (not Wayne), "I want Karen Hayes gone."

I hope the next line is "...Because we are planning a surprise birthday party for her and she cannot know about it."

That would be hilarious.

I want The Biscuit to be gone, honestly. I find him obnoxious and irritating and too cavalier with my civil liberties to be sure...

I think we're going to discover that Jack's nephew is really Jack Jr.

I dunno. I think that would be a little too soap opera for me.

I remember that my brothers used to give me noogies. But I don't recall them ever putting a plastic bag over my head. 8O

I just watched it. I think it had better improve or this is not going to be as good as last season. I have to say that I kind of laughed when Dr. Romano was revealed to be Jack's brother. And I guess being an Evil Bluetooth Gang Member pays some serious dividends because dang!--that house was huge!

And I don't know if I buy Jack coming from money. Well, maybe he did and maybe he just got sick of it, or maybe he had a serious falling out with is dad over college. "Dad, I want to join the marines and go around the world stopping terrorists so you and mom and Grey and the world can sleep at night."

"Son, you are too rich to sacrifice yourself to such a menial task. If you do that, what will all the poor boys and girls do for careers?"

"F*** you, Dad."

I could something like that happening.

Or maybe the fallout happened when Jack fathered Himberely Bauer with his brother's future wife?

"Jack, just because you are taller, more handsome, and know to kill people in any way imaginable does not give you the excuse to break up with your girlfriend after getting her pregnant." (Well, that is speculation, but the similarities are a little too close for comfort. I hope they DO NOT develop that story line--unless it's in some DVD extra.)

And actually, I guess if I did the math, this kid is younger Kim, so whatever.

Which would mean he was screwing around while with his lovely wife (who WAS kim's real mother, right?).

Maybe the lady seduced him, and jack was a pure innocent.

And... the m*oney could have been acquired post-jack-becoming a marine.

(sorry, but the intertext ads seriously hurt my brain)

Yeah, but Jack sounded like he knew Sam and was close to him, like, well, maybe you're right, but I think Sam is old enough to have at least known Jack as a teenager, if not younger. Or maybe Sam just cared about Jack since he was part of the family. And I guess they all got together for the funeral...

Maybe you're right. Maybe Jack had a falling out AFTER the funeral since he figured his family was full of bad apples.

I can buy Jack coming from money, no pun intended. Remember his house in season 1? I'm not sure you can get anything that nice in California on a government worker's salary.

And then there was his apartment in Season 2. It looked too clean for depressed Jack to have been living there for a year and a half without a maid service of some sort.

On a side note, am I the only one who wishes they could have gotten Donald Sutherland to play Jack's father? And then they could have had Elliot Gould play the Russian general.

*Vaguely recalls hearing something about en una isla having 5 kids*

Yeah, I guess you probably wouldn't be impressed by a house like that.

Now that would have been interesting, but I think Sutherland declined the offer. Also, it might have been a little bit odd and too real-life to work in 24.

That's too bad. I would have also liked to see them bring Robert Duval, Tom Skerritt, and Sally Kellerman on board, and the show get renamed C*T*U. :D

Yeah, I'll go with you on this one. It seemed like a normal house. Nothing like his brother's house, that's for sure. I also liked his first house better than his brother's house; it just seemed more comfortable.

Favorite line of episode five: "Actually, you're hurting me right now." "Trust me, I'm not."

And what kind of bastard SOB sends his own brother to China after conspiring to have him killed?

Yeah, he was the guy in Season Five who helped mastermind the whole deal. He was the guy always on his Bluetooth headset.
