What about the game show from the late 1950's or early 1960's that didn't even last the half hour. It was hosted by Jackie Gleason, who ended up apologizing to the audience for hosting the show, the proceeded to ad-lib his own show for the remainder of that show's time slot?

family game night is fun. they play big versions of board games.
