I used to like Are You Afraid Of The Dark? That was my favourite show as a kid. Then I was quite fond of Goosebumps even though it was nowhere near as good but still decent. Now there's nothing like those shows. The shows produced now lack plot and never have any likeable characters. Well, that's my opinion anyway.

I absolutely love fairy odd parents. From experience kids do sit through it, and as a matter of fact, you can make a grown up like me sit on it as well since it is VERY funny.

There's this anime thing called "Digi Charat Nyo" if you actually have a station with it, it is also another fun one.

Grim adventures of Billy and Many / Kids next door are nice imho.

If you are a parent, do yourself (and your kids) a favor, and get DVDs of all shows, your kid should really get to see the old stuff, just to avoid him/her to become too focused on novelty, I think no kid should be neglected the right to enjoy the pink panther, pinky and the brain, garfield, animaniacs, and some other great shows that don't show anymore (unlike bugs bunny stuff / Scooby doo which is still aired)

I watched Square pants bob the other day and it was ok, Dora the explorer is quite terrible imho.

And btw I really hated Scobby Doo, really. I just don't get it why they keep airing it and making new versions.

On action stuff: Ben 10, whoever invented that should be... reallly, I hate that one. But there are some nice ones around there like Justice League, just need to dig more...

those were cool cartoons that are probably on Boomerang's playlist.
Boomerang is a channel on australian cable that shows classic cartoons.
I liked Tiny Toons and Pinky and the Brain and anamaniacs as well as looney tunes (still do)
Power Rangers = doing stupid movements everytime you said something.
In south America they RAPED boomerang, boomerang is now a channel for "girl shows". They actually even have Mexican/Argentinian soup operas on it! I used to love boomerang and watch some of the above mentioned shows...

I liked ( like ) action comic books but always thought action cartoons sucked. I prefered the GI Joe comic over the cartoon. Humor is teh opposite to me I never found comic books funny but lik eit in cartoons. ( Far Side and Calvin and Hobbes are exceptions)

Like my television somehow the suffof a generation older seemed cooler.

A team was ok but doesnt hold up as well as 60s shows.

Cartoon wise i like Tom and Jerry and Fat Albert. Ive liked some of the newer shows like venture bros. But definately not kids stuff.

I csnt watch Anime at all . Too fast . Too silly.

The best children's show at the moment is repeats of My Parents are Aliens, ie, kids shows were better in the old days than they are now. Even the networks aren't as good.

I think Hannah Montana is a cute show, talented family!
I think a lot of the new movies for kids are excellent: Cuirous George, Chicken little, red hood, meet the robinsons, ratatoullie, etc...
I'm looking forward to seeing Enchanted as well, I've been watching the Carrie Underwood video it looks good

why are you even watching that crap in the first place, if i ever had a kid i would never let him watch such filth, i would ground for even thinking of watching anything less that rated r movies, even then, i might just be a little disappointed, kids need to watch pornos, the earlier they get experience the better they will be in bed when they get older

Been awhile since I last came here...

Anyway, I don't know what you think about Cartoon Network these days, but I think they've reached the bottom of the barrel. I used to enjoy their Fridays block and I have a big crush on the block's 2005-07 co-hostess Tara Sands...but CN wound up firing her and dumping the block in favor of this stupid block called Fried Dynamite! !

Nice going, CN. Until this mistake is reversed, I'm never watching the channel anymore. :x

My favorites show had to be Gargoyles all the way up until they butchered it and made "the Goliath Chronicles" which was basically throwing out Greg Weisman's wonderful writing and going for real crap writing and crap animation.

now they show them in re-runs I think maybe not at all now and when they did do reruns they were always out of order.. I will never forget the stupid show they replaced it with... Mighty Ducks what a total piece of crap that show was.

Don't like Spongebob much, but I did like Rugrats and Wild Thornberrys -- they're both probably my fav. American cartoons at the moment. :D

cartoons today are made to be watchable for kid's short attention span so that's why there not good. I think the cartoons made back in the day are much better and educational
