In Love or lust with an anime/cartoon character?
I am partial to Twilight Sparkle from My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic. I also think that the three Axis guys from Hetalia are equal parts adorable and hot.
Though I feel I must add that my little crushes on them pale in comparison to my undying love for Alice Kingsleigh from Tim Burton's Alice in Wonderland.
Let's see, I like...
anime:
Major Motoko Kusanagi from "Ghost in the Shell"
Faye from "Cowboy Bebop"
Haruhi Suzumiya from "The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya"
Lisa Hayes from "Robotech"
cartoon:
Lois Griffin from "Family Guy"
Melody Valentine the drummer from "Joise and the Pussycats"
Daphne from "Scooby Doo"
Turanga Leela and Amy Wong from "Futurama"
Debbie (blonde slu*ty debbie) from "Sealab 2021"... and I'm in love with the voice of the girl who sings the theme song for Sealab 2021
I also have the hots for Wilma Flintstone. (Betty Rubble is pretty hot too)

For almost three years, I've been stuck with a girl named Crystal, from the Pokemon Adventures manga. I don't know why I like her so much... maybe she's cute, or maybe she's the one that understands me well, or maybe she's the responsible big sister figure that I've always yearned for... to replace the love my family never gave me. I've always told everyone here that she's nothing more than just an imaginary friend, who guides me through life... and has me hold on to the good side... But, secretly, I'm having a big crush on her, and we're mentally dating, by the way... It sounds sick, but it's just like that... She's always that warm and caring type... always worried about me, always pushing me to do good deeds... stuff like that. She makes me feel safe, and cheers me up when I'm down... I really have to thank her even though she doesn't exist...
Your imaginary relationship with Crystal reminds me a lot of my imaginary relationship with Alice Kingsleigh from Tim Burton's Alice in Wonderland. In the beginning, I thought of Alice as sort of a "long-lost twin" because I was the same age as her when I saw the movie she's in (age 19). I thought of her as an idealized sister - someone close to my age who was always there for me whenever my mom couldn't be due to her job. I have two older sisters in real life, but there is a huge age gap between myself and them (10+ years) and they have always been emotionally unavailable for most of my life.
But then when my eldest sister came home from traveling abroad this past summer, she proved to me that although we are not in the same age group and we live very far apart from each other, she loves me unconditionally. After that, I no longer felt the need to think of Alice as my "twin". But my imaginary relationship with her went to a different level and we instead became lovers. The way I began to think of Alice changed too. Instead of thinking of her as a doting elder twin, I began to think of her as a loving "wife" who sees me as her equal.
The reasons why I love Alice are:
- She has a lot in common with me, in that we often have recurring dreams and think of "impossible ideas". Also, neither of us really fit in with the societies we were born into. We also both speak in monotone voices and have limited facial expressions (something that was regarded as negative by movie critics, but that I loved because it made it easier to identify with her)
- As a certain scene with the Mad Hatter proves, she is good at consoling her friends when they have a meltdown. She is also protective of her loved ones, as shown when she gets angry with her brother-in-law for cheating on her sister.
- She is kind and gentle, which is an absolute must for anyone who I associate with in real life.
- Unlike me, she has a lot of common sense, is assertive and is very independent.
I've only known and loved Alice for 21 months, but I hope that she will be with me for the rest of my life. I can't imagine loving anyone, real or imaginary, as much as I love her.

There's several cartoon characters I have crushes on/used to have crushes on, but it's never been something I publicly advertise.
When I was younger, maybe around 7 or 8, the characters I crushed on were Flik from A Bug's Life, Mushu from Mulan, Rocky from Chicken Run, and Chanticleer from Rock - A - Doodle. I also crushed on Wilt from Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends for the longest time (but really, who DIDN'T have a crush on Wilt from FHfIF?).
Sideshow Bob from The Simpsons is a pretty dashing fellow, as well.
I think my main animated squeeze at the moment is Susie the Coupe, a classic Disney character who inspired the design for the characters in the Cars movies. I've actually had a crush on her since I saw her on the Disney Channel when I was like, 4. I'd love a life - sized die cast/plush version her to take to bed.
I'm a car - fur, by the way. It's like being a furry, only with anthro Cars, Planes, Trains, Machinery, etc.

Vampire Hunter D was always my fave... especially bloodlust. Others include:
The Beast from Disney's Beauty and the Beast (especially after seeing how ugly the human was)
Justin from The Secret of NIMH
Goliath in Gargoyles
There were a few others that I've lost interest over the years and have forgotten about. Shame on me lol.

It's insanely weird, but yeah, when I was like 12, I used to you-know-what to One Piece and BLEACH characters. My God, it's disgusting.
I think I used to like Orihime, Rangiku, and Yoruichi especially. Nami, nico robin, Tsunade from Naruto too.

I had always been drawn to the female characters in cartoons when I was even a preteen. Smurfette. ok that's weird.
a little older... Sally Acorn from the Sonic cartoon.
Now as far as American toons, I should be ashamed, lol..... Vanessa Doofenshmirtz.
Anime? I've been through Ukyuo Kuonji from Ranma 1/2 Dark long hair is lovely.
Belldandy of Oh, My Goddess She's a sweetheart.
Sango from Inuyasha
Tsubaki from Soul Eater her personality and hair.
and Ohno From Genshiken She's adorable for so many reasons.

Strangely two of the sweetest things I've read.
And of course I have crushes on cartoon characters. Video game characters too. I can't possibly name them all. Right now pretty sure I've got one on Dipper from Gravity Falls.
