Dr Strange.

I know; I've heard all the bad reviews, that this movie has a weak story, that it depends way too much on CG, and that Cumberbatch does a not so stellar American accent. But still... I really liked this movie! The magic battle scenes, in which space is warped - including all the city buildings - looks like an Escher illustration come to life. And how can a guy like me who grew up with Marvel hate this?

'Dr. Strange' has been getting bad reviews? It's got a 90% on Rotten Tomatoes.

I'm not a big fan of superhero movies (the last Marvel movie I saw was Ang Lee's 'Hulk' 13 years ago), so I'm not immediately inclined to go see 'Dr. Strange' other than the fact that it has Mads Mikkelson in it, which, good reviews or bad reviews, might just be enough to sway me.

Well, as I said, I liked it.

'Return of the Living Dead 3', or at least re-watched it after about 20 years. Compared to the original it's a thematic and aesthetic disappointment, but on its own merits it's a satisfying little low-budget horror/romance flick. It really shouldn't have been marketed as a sequel.

Doctor Strange, and I thought it was really good. I recommend seeing it in 3D, or even IMAX 3D if possible.
