Yeah they have a communist society & they coexist with things instead of wanting to eradicate. I didn't find it funny sense he was just talking & it was voiced over with German which is a language I don't know so I couldn't understand any of it. I might would of found it funny if he was voiced over with translated Natzi, like he was saying Natzi stuff in English.

There's also a theory about Smurfs being a representation of Nazism too. Garmamel, who wants to turn the Smurfs into gold, seems to be a representation of Jewish stereotypes. The greed and the Big Nose is proof.

I'm pretty sure I heard the "turn the smurfs into gold" somewhere. According to other sources, he was never really that clear on his motives.

In the 2nd episode of the 1st season a couple smurfs end up in Garmamel's house & he catches them. Smurfette tells him to let them go & he says "I will rite into my soup pot. It was thoughtful of you to come just at lunch time my tasty little smurfs" as he drops them in. He also makes a comment about the main course being soup ala smurf

In one ep Garmamel stumbled across a formula to turn metal into gold that required smurfs. He was just wanting to eat them before that thou & in the eps I seen after. I started watching the series again a week ago & still on the 1st season so maybe there's other reasons he wants em that haven't come up yet.
