I would recommend season 4 or 5 of 24 just for chloe or house for the socially awkward, obsessive and sarastic Dr. House. Any ideas?

I don't feel like writing a synopsis for these, but here are a couple that I think would be more appreciated by someone on the spectrum:

TV series:
Freaks and Geeks
Curb Your Enthusiasm
Densha Otoko

Movies:
Ben X
Adaptation
Pi

I'll update if I can think of any more.

Dexter? Sure he's a serial killer but I can relate to how he tries to fit in to the 'normal' world.

How I will remember Walter Cronkite topic

I watched this show as a little aspie, and wrote about it in the thead/topic on Walter Cronkite from the News and Current Events forum. I was a little news junkie. Not to everyone's taste.

The show is called The 20th Century.

Link to The 20th Century

Yay! The link works.

You mean that show that portrays anyone who acts from a logical basis as an ammoral, sex-craved individual who don't care about other people's feelings? Lol i'd personally advise aspies to stay away from that one.

Recently I started watching Lie to Me. It's a fun show if you want to learn about facial expressions and how to avoid getting caught in a lie. Teehee.

ReGenesis. Great science, gripping plotlines, and a terrific portrayal of a character who has AS. Furthermore, the other characters acknowledge and understand how he's different and don't treat him poorly or make jokes at his expense (well...maybe one does, but he makes jokes at EVERYONE'S expense).

I've always found the "Legally Blonde" films very motivational, even though I'm not a blonde
I seriously think that "Legally Blonde" should be on the national curriculum in schools, as it has a lot of good messages in it, mostly about dealing with setbacks in a positive way and that you don't have to be a certain type of person to suceed in life.

Personally I would've thought that the obvious series for Aspies would be 3rd Rock from the Sun.
