Any Anime you like to watch in English?

I know that most of you on WP watch anime in Japanese with the subtitles (so do I), but I want to know if there's any shows you like to watch in English?

Here's mine:
Bleach
Eureka Seven
Dragonball Z
One Piece (the new FUNimation dub)
Sonic X
Naruto (Even though I haven't watched it in a while and I like both versions just like Bleach)

Shows I like to watch in English include:
Hellsing: series and OVAs
Death Note
Code Geass
Full Metal Alchemist
Bleach
Naruto (and starting with Shippuden)
Lucky Star (I enjoy the Japanese aswell, especialy since there is a bunch of Seiyu jokes that I like, but I usualy want a light watch when I watch this)

I enjoy:
Inuyasha
Bleach
Blood +
Hellsing
Ranma 1/2

Yeah, while I prefer to watch most anime in Japanese with English subtitles (Dutch, if the DVD has that option, which is rare), there is one show where I love the English voice acting, and that's Dragon Ball Z in the Ocean Dub, with Scott McNeil as Piccolo, Brian Drummond as Vegeta, and Ted Cole as Yamcha. It's mostly nostalgia, but I truly think the voice acting - at least the delivery of the lines, though the censoring of words like 'kill' and 'death' was silly - was great.

Ted Cole also voiced Chang Wufei in 'Mobile Suit Gundam Wing', and I rather liked the English dub of that show too, though some of it was bland. The Gundam pilots themselves were consistently well-voiced, though.

Most english dubs suck still... I have to say it. I'd have to go with Dragon ball Z for the best dubbed among anime series where it rivals the original japanese. Although Ghost in the shell 1 and 2 isn't too bad.

Naruto I can't stand dubbed, after hearing Sasuke and naruto I can't go to dubs without wanting to kill the voice actors.

I prefer dubbed actually, though I have to add to that, that I really have only gotten into a few anime. I discovered them a bit too late in life to really have the time to branch out. Maybe when the kids are older, I can check out more. So I've seen as many episodes of Inuyasha and Fullmetal Alchemist as I could find. I like the English voices for the most part on both, although I have mixed feelings about Vic Mignogna voicing a kid... for the teen Ed, his voice is perfect, you'd never think he 45+ years old, however old he is. But he doesn't do so well as child Ed... frankly you wonder when his voice was supposed to have changed. The Japanese voice for Ed is amazing... you'd never think you were hearing a woman, she sounds so much like an angry teenage boy. And of course, she can sound like a kid (I assume, as I said, I've been watching it dubbed).

I like the Slayers better in English than Japanese. Sorcerer Hunters, on the other hand, I feel more nuetral about. I have enjoyed a few Englished one's in my life time. I wish that Yoko demon Huntress was in English though. I found that show very interesting. I don't care for Englush sub lines, because you wound up watching the words rather than the show.

I prefer to watch dubbed anime, because I like the English voice acting in the animes I watch. However, I will admit that some dubs are horrible.

Last year, I recently got into watching japanese anime with subtitles. I was enjoying the effort put into the animes. However, seeing a certain anime dubbed in English, "Code Geass", I was not happy with the generic same voices from past animes. I think the only anime I remember that was good in English was Robotech (never saw macross but I saw one of the spinoff series). Perhaps, one day I could possible learn what they're saying Also are the lists for "currently enjoying or want to watch in english?" I am at a question mark on that one.

Well I would like to add more, I usualy prefer subtitles, and my choices of dub have usualy been that I watched them first, and for some I don't want to watch 100 episodes I have seen in english in japanese just to get used to the voices. Some dubs I realy hate, I thought the other day I would take it easy and watch Full Metal Panic Fummoffu! with my brother and as he is 7 I watched in dub, the voices sound so wrong I felt like banging my head against a wall.

My first full sub anime I watched was Zero no Tsukaima, and after a little bit of confusion I found the experience quite pleasent and likeing subs since, though I did check out some of Tsukaima dub, but some of the characters just felt wrong. I have thought of maybe checking out FullMetal Alchemist in japanese but the thought of Rie Kugumiya who plays character in a lot of shows I like voicing Alphonse Elric doesn't sit too well with me. Or when I tried watching Hellsing Ultimate in Japanese, the character Alucard was done just evil as opposed to Crispin Freeman's cool cat, I found the character disorienting and much rathered the English dub, that also since it was set in England, was good how the dub included English accents and as I heared the German spoke some German as opposed to the Japanese.

I also decided to show my mother and brother The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya in the dub, at first I hated the voices, but I think I am able to tolerate it, mostly due to the fact they did not basterdise the characters.

I love Inuyasha because that show is so funny. I love the guy who does the english version of him. The Japanese one, however, sounds like an angry person who goes off the handle at everything. Richard Ian Cox, though, does a better job of displaying Inuyasha's emotions.

I also enjoy the english versions of Miyazaki's movies in Disney format. For starters, they did a good job with the music and voicing the right people to the characters.
Castle in the Sky is a good example of that.

I don't consider the disney dubs as a "good" job. Particulary Castle in the Sky, where the kids sound older that they should and with the ading of dialogues and crappy jokes.

It's only a small peek of the changes that had been made.

Now of course I use the DVD subtitles for the comparaison and I don't know japanesse. So how can I know the subtitles give us a better transtlation that the english dub? Simply, the french dub is much more closer to the subtitles that the english dub.
What Disney has made is playing with the dialogues to make it closer of Disney movie. It could be okay for a episode of Pokemon, but not for a Ghibli movie.


BTW, Miyah. Turn out the Inuyasha serie is supposed to restart this fall.

Cooooooooooool...

I found some anime with Japanese audio with the option of American audio. The soundtrack was changed to fit an American audience with Japanese cars, set in Japan. And the pronunciation of some words were wrong. Kind of like changing John Connor's name (Terminator films) to Tim cos it's easier to say.

I've tried English audio, but changing of names and shortening? Not my thing. It was changed to suit an American audience with American style.

Full Metal Panic Fumoffu(I think I like Fumoffu dubbed because it's easier to enjoy the jokes if I'm not reading tiny letters at the bottom of the screen)
