^^ Yaaaaaye! I believe I certainly do enjoy this happy program. ^^ However, I believe I have mostly viewed the later series of the English version, and thus the happy individuals that appear often in the episodes I have viewed are Ryan Stiles, Colin Mochry (I apologise if this spelling is incorrect), Greg Proops, Josie Lawrence and I believe another American man. ^^ However, all of these individuals are American I believe, excluding Josie Lawrence, who is happily English.

Colin Mochrie is Canadian (on the American version, when they were doing commercials for CD compilations, he would sometimes segue to a rap song by alluding to "growing up on the tough streets of Saskatchewan"). I think Ryan Stiles might be a Canuck too, but haven't looked into it, as I don't really care. :)

I think the other American you allude to was Brad Sherwood, who did make appearances on the later series of the British programme (and was one of the regulars on the American program). He was about the only person who could match Wayne Brady for improvisational singing...

I love Who's Line, I wish it was still on! Colin Mochrie was the best therapy ever for my down moods.

It's been years since I've seen the show. My favorite segments are props and sound effects. I wish I could find the episode where the audience members made sound effects for a scene where Ryan and Colin were farmers and came across aliens.

I had forgotten until you mentioned it, but I *love* that show! Some shows should rerun forever, that's one of them.

This is an absolute favorite, but the American version, not so. It did have it's moments, and certain reliable bits, but they carried just about everything too far. I got some of the first shows on disc one Christmas and the literary styles part was awesome. You wouldn't see something like that on American TV. Well, I haven't, anyway.

I really like this show too! I wish it was on TV more often, it can be so hilarious! It's definitely a TV show that I would consider buying but I don't often see it in stores (though I don't always think to look for it).

Anyone remember the one with Richard Simmons? I thought I was going to break a rib from laughing!

!?!?!

Dang it, if I did see it, I've forgotten it. I know they have some unexpected guests sometimes, but usually it's been famous comedian and sadly, disappointing results. It was almost heartbreaking watching Peter Cook on there... he got in a couple of very funny dry remarks but he just couldn't seem to keep up. That, or his humor didn't quite fit with the hyperactive pace of the show. And Robin Williams was shockingly unfunny. He's actually pretty funny in interviews but I think he must have been out of his element.

I didn't think Robin Williams was that good on it either.

I only got halfway through it... Richard Simmons is an embarrassing person... And yet I see what you mean. I was wiping tears from my eyes before I gave up, it was so funny. He's an exuberant lil guy, in't he? He knows how to work a crowd. But sadly it got just a shade too trashy there... Okay, REALLY trashy! You can't help laughing when Ryan Stiles loses it, though, can you? He usually doesn't, after all.

I love Whose Line! :D But only the original British version. I apologize to the Americans here, but although I have seen Whose Line US, I seldom found it funny. I don't know what the reason was... it wasn't just because of the performers, because most of the Americans who had previously been stalwarts on Whose Line UK - Greg, Colin, Ryan, etc - were very funny there. Greg is actually one of my top WL guests ever.

Drew Carey, maybe? He's unfunny enough to kill a show all by himself. The show here did become so shamelessly self-indulgent, over-extending games and jokes until they had wrung every last ounce of humor from them, that it often just made me sick. Plus there was very little variation in the talent. The ones they had are good, of course, but you got something fresh when the comics changed more. Suddenly it was the same dynamic over and over, no new flavors. And finally, I like British humor, the way the lines are delivered, not sure what else... I just like it. I can't remember seeing a single British comic on the show in the states.
