I'm curious if there is anyone else that is as addicted as I am to this one of a kind medical drama. House(Hugh Laurie) has to be one of the most interesting characters of all of television, and he should have won the emmy for it.

I love this show - and I usually don't watch network TV - but someone told me to watch it and I was addicted . . . though I hate romance so the whole thing with Stacy has sort of annoyed me . . . though it is convoluted enough to keep my attention . . .

I like this show too but it's sometimes a little too visually realistic for my taste.

anybody else notice that his 'house' number is 221b? i think it's a nudge towards Sherlock Holmes who lived at 221b Baker street.

I absolutely love this show. While I am a Sela Ward fan, wasn't thrilled with Stacy so am glad she is gone. As for Hugh Laurie as House, well House is one of the funniest characters on television.

House is the best TV show as far as medical shows go. That house number 221b is very likely a deliberate reference to Sherlock Holmes cos the show was basically inspired by Sherlock Holmes.
The aim of the shows creator was to mix a sherlock like detective genre with medical drama. I guess they have done it very successfully. I love Hugh Laurie and his brittish accent.
I'm planning to buy the season 1 DVD boxset too.

Wasn't the first part of the season's finale awesome?

My jaw dropped twice last night. I can't for tonight's episode.

I have gotten every adult in my family hooked on House now, lol. My husband (who is the only non-AS person around, poor guy!) even loves it. It's one of the few shows we do watch.

I'm actually surprised how well Hugh Laurie plays this utter SOB. I know him best as the ditzy George from the Blackadder series, and now he is practically a medical Blackadder.

I love House, too.

Now, what's up with the two-parter second episode last night? We go from seeing Foreman lying in the bed with his left and right confused to seeing him working?

Is this going to be a new aspect to his character? The incredible neurologist with the underlying neurological error?

I love it!

But, then, I've always loved it. The only time "House" has ever really disappointed me was the elevator scene when House found the tick in the young girl's private part. That was cheap and crude. Other than that, in my mind, the show can do no wrong.

My favorite shows are "House" and "Monk." H-m-m-m. Dysfunctional male protagonists! :?

Oh well. :D

House is great. I watch it every week. I didn't know that the creators employed aspects of Sherlock Holmes, though. It's better than most other medical shows that I've seen. I like the analytical aspect of the show. It's way better than ER, and ER has gone down the tubes in the past couple of years.

I made it a point to not miss an episode... ...until it started cutting into Veronica Mars...

I love this show simply for the characters. House is relentless with his jokes, and as crude as some are, they are funny as hell. I also rather like the side characters, my favorite being Eric Foreman (Only way I remember this name is because of him sharing the name of a character from "That 70's Show"). I also like the girl who obviously has a crush on him. The plot itself can be rather good, though at times episodes can be a little repeditive, but not enough to turn me off from the show.
