One thing I have been wondering is why do people (including me) like catgirls. I personally think its because I have no girlfriend, and want to have a cat. Eventually the two just merged. I was also wondering if liking catgirls says something about the person's personality. I just want to see what people think.
(Please note I am referring to nekos, not the full on furry cat people)

I would guess that traditional psychology would say that any man liking catgirls is objectifying women into an animalistic state. Probably with overtones of the catgirl being more sexually willing, and easily dominated than a human woman.

To answer what I know must have occurred to you: "no, it's not". Carry on and don't worry about it.

I'm guessing at what a psychologist would say.
And you did ask what it could mean ....

Prof_Pretorius' theory makes the most sense psychologically. Personally I wouldn't worry about other people's kinks too much. You get into some straaaange stuff.

My policy is "As long as you're not hurting anybody I'm not bothered - but I'm not interested in hearing about it either."

Still though. Its my kink aswell, and it worries me that that might the reason I like catgirls.

Trust me on this, even when you're older you'll wish women were more interested in sex.

I think it's because with pets, there's a sense of unconditional love and no real complex emotions. That's something you'd translate to a relationship - with most people, it's more difficult than "be nice = be loved" like it is for pets. That's why people tend to be into that kind of stuff, myself included.

Also, girls just acting like that is super cute anyway.

Because cats are cute, and when a cute-looking human is crossed with a cute-looking animal, it makes them super-adorable. That's why you see a lot of babies dressed in animal suits.
